So glad to see the US has recovered, houses are being returned, Food Prices are declining, Everybody is working and can afford to fill up their gas tanks and heat their homes again.

Guess I missed the turn around announcement. It must be true though, right?

If Obama can send a Billion dollars over there, all must be good again. YAY!

Love this comment:

"How about a debt relief package for the 19% unemployed in this country? The reason? U.S. banks and some U.S. investors are holding Egyptian debt or paper."

www.washingtonpost.com...

The Obama administration has decided to provide about $1 billion in debt relief for Egypt, a senior official said Saturday, in the boldest U.S. effort yet to shore up a key Middle East ally as it attempts a democratic transition. The aid would be part of a major economic aid package that also includes trade and investment incentives, officials said. It is intended to help stabilize Egypt after demonstrations forced out longtime President Hosni Mubarak on Feb. 11.

Also glad to see that the American Farmers are doing so well that it's now possible to help Egyptian Farmers.

The Egyptian finance and planning ministers visited Washington last month to seek forgiveness of the country’s $3.6 billion debt. Egypt pays about $350 million a year to service the debt, which it incurred buying American farm products.

Love the "Quiet Consultations" bit...What happened to Transparency of Government?

The administration has had “quiet consultations” with lawmakers who would need to approve the assistance, and is trying “to anticipate the questions and concerns in this budget climate,” said the senior official, who like others spoke on the condition of anonymity because the assistance has not been announced.

A voice of reason:

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.) said at a recent hearing that the United States can’t afford to provide aid as it did in the past. “The stakes [in the Middle East] are very high ... but so is our level of deficit spending,” he said.

No no its money to the people who helped the revolution take place.
You see it was america's plan all along.
And by the way...the US government don't like its own people to be healthy or they will start
to think healthy you see..,

Wow, it's nice to know isn't it that taxpayer money is helping another country with it's crisis while the taxpayers themselves are thrown under the bus. I feel very sorry for my american friends and it almost seems like they are pushing as hard as they can to instigate public rebellion, hmm, wonder if that's the true purpose of the Fema camps, push em till they snap then round up the 'troublemakers'. Far fetched perhaps but lately it's like they are begging for anarchy or something.

You have a great point there.

I just can't see how it can be justified to send 1 Billion out of Country that can do so many so much good in the US.

Political Madness? More like a slap in the face to hungry, homeless, jobless, broke people all over America.

It's the tax payer's money that they are stealing and giving away!

How can this go on? I have to admit that in the past I have had a lean towards hating the American People, but now I am starting to feel empathy for them.

It's America that I now have the problem with...not Americans. Seems there is quite a separation between the two.

This Prez is way out of touch with the reality of the situation, or being the Citizen of the World that he is, he is more concerned with other people than the USA, either of which if he were actually a legit sitting Prez we could impeach, but we cannot impeach a Prez who's not legit. We need an amendment to allow the removal of such a one from the office of POTUS. Otherwise we are sitting around just taking everything he dishes out. His whole mission is to destroy our economy and push World Socialism(wealth redistribution).

It's so nice to see so much transparency and accountability.....

That sounds like an excellent strategy: begin impeachment proceedings (he is in contempt of court after all for having refused the order to resume oil drilling), and then he has to choose between being impeached and admitting he's not US born. I like it.

Excellent point!

I have a thread here with the exact same thoughts:

I don't understand how far it can go before something is done.

Yes, I mean something like impeachment only we don't call it that, it would be for removal of a prez who is not legit. But alas no such thing exists and with current law, it would only set a precedent for a non-legit Prez. What else can be done under our law to remove someone from Office so obviously against our National Sovereignty?

What I'm saying is that we do have a legitimate reason to impeach him, and if such proceedings were started then he would plead he can't be because he's not a US citizen. So he loses either way.

And there it is again. Throwing money around to put them more in debt. I lol at it because they are retarded. America will become a third world country pretty soon. Just watch!

I see you point but what is a billion dollars when you sitting on 15 trillion or so. also we were going to have to buy their government sooner or later of course thats assuming if we did not set up the new government in the first place.

I thought that's kinda what you meant. It would be a dangerous game. I don't think he would ever plead out.

You're aware that this is simply a bribe, right?
It'll be in return for something like Egypt not opening the crossing to Gaza. (Or something else pro-Israel).

They cant say that openly of course. They'll call it 'aid'.

In my opion its really a lose lose situation for him because on one hand the governments must compete on a global level but if he was to focuse on the USA to much only, then the USA gets passed up on the global level and it will become as a third world country. I am not saying that will will live in mud houses or anything like that but what I think what will happen is the other countries such as China keep progressing forward and the USA does not so therefor becoming as a third world country.

Yeh, what's a billion here, a billion there....try that with your budget.

OK Doub, man, I believe in competition for sure, that's real Free Market, but we cannot compete if we go broke using Nation Building as a stealth form of income redistribution. I think this is really the essence of Ron Paul, we need to bring some of our troops home, and reign in this nation building nonsense and concentrate on rebuilding our manufacturing base.

Great idea Obama! Steal the money from the poor people in a rich country, and give it to the rich people in a poor country! I love your logic! You are the 3rd greatest president this country has ever seen. Only Richard Nixon and George W. Bush have you beat.

Of course there is always a bribe underlying anything the US does. Nothing is free.

I wonder how many people in the US feel ok about that tho. I don't believe anyone can say that they are happy about another 1 billion disappearing from their pockets.

Bribe or otherwise.

We could just move some Israeli aid funds to Egyptian aid funds.. It's important to keep Egypt on our side, for once I actually agree with Obama....
