Well ain't that just great.

Quite far from Australia's east coast... near the Loyalty Island..... now hopefully there's no tsunami or Brisbane could be wiped off the map.

Seriously, Australia is getting it rough... drought... floods... cyclone... and now this? Really?

* 124 km (77 miles) NE (34°) from Tadine, Loyalty Islands, New Caledonia
* 139 km (87 miles) SSW (213°) from Isangel, Vanuatu
* 286 km (178 miles) NE (50°) from NOUMEA, New Caledonia
* 1754 km (1090 miles) ENE (67°) from Brisbane, Australia

Australia killed too many kangaroos and pissed off God or what?

It has ALWAYS to do with the Kangaroos.
Kangaroos rule the world and run the Vatican... the pope is actually a Kangaroo... ever heard of that? Well this is the truth the MSM will never teach you.

There have been a lot of earthquakes in that region recently - and up along the plate line. I was wondering if they had anything to do with the floods. I certainly hope everyone there will be ok.

That's a very long way off Aus, why are you even linking this to Australia?

Tsunamis travel long distances.. .and it's on Australia ``east coast``... so if a tsunami would have been created... it could have hit Australia's east coast... causing even more floods.

TSUNAMI INFORMATION STATEMENT NUMBER 1

AN EARTHQUAKE HAS OCCURRED WITH THESE PRELIMINARY PARAMETERS

ORIGIN TIME - 0617 AM HST 13 JAN 2011
COORDINATES - 20.7 SOUTH 168.7 EAST
LOCATION - LOYALTY ISLANDS
MAGNITUDE - 7.3 MOMENT

EVALUATION

BASED ON ALL AVAILABLE DATA A DESTRUCTIVE PACIFIC-WIDE TSUNAMI IS
NOT EXPECTED AND THERE IS NO TSUNAMI THREAT TO HAWAII. REPEAT. A
DESTRUCTIVE PACIFIC-WIDE TSUNAMI IS NOT EXPECTED AND THERE IS NO
TSUNAMI THREAT TO HAWAII.

+1

Holy jebus have a look at the RSOE site. The monster quake happend right next to where the tropical storm is happening. I'm not no expert but tropical storm plus 7.3 quake combined doesn't sound too good hisz.rsoe.hu...[/url]

How adorable - I love your kangaroos - always have and always will. Love the Aussies as well - always wanted to visit your country.

Does anyone know the population of the Loyalty Islands. The RSOE map is lit up like a Christmas tree this morning - all over actually.

Now imagine that a Tsunami had formed. What kind of damage would that cause to the great Barrier Reef?
Talk about kicking at the environmentally sensitive. yeech!

I am not afraid of earthquakes as long there never appear one near Hawaii that can cause tsunami. I dislike the idea of tsunami.
