NO News for the past hour on GOOGLE???

Well for the past hour Google shows no news results for any country I type.

For example I wrote Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, India, EU etc, then click past hour, and it shows no result.

What's up?

It is the same for every country?

Is no News actually coming in, or is there something else going on?

Any ideas?

I can confirm this is also happenning in Brazil.

Any news search tearm will not bring any results form the last hour.


Maybe google is doing some work on their indexing software?

Wait another hour, and then we'll see, for now, no news is good news???? we hope...

Same here. It looks like a blackout has begun, or perhaps some kind of denial of service attack. Could be something mundane as well. But....

Yahoo news is still returning news results from within the last hour. Must be a Google problem.

I'm in Canada and it's working fine for me!!!

Working fine on my end. Could be that hackers played a little prank on google and they got it straightened out. Who knows? But it is working fine here

Depends on the country. I just typed in US, China and Russia and got results.
So, is it a Middle East issue?

I'm in the US and while the main page works (Showing news from 4+ hours ago) I do get the same result as you do when I click on the "last 1 hour" tab.

The AP world news feed has nothing from the middle east currently either. Could just be a welcome and much needed slow news day in the region.

Yep. Although now I'm not getting anything from the search, so maybe there was lag time. Just tried again, no results.

After reading some posts on the google webmasters forum, I would say google is doing some major reindexing on their servers.

I guess this is just business as usual.

It looks like the last news is approximately 4 hours old, from every country.

Yes, you are absolutely correct, it makes one wonder what if, we have to go 24 hours without it, will we as a species survive the horror....

OH #!! This is it!!! We are being overtaken by hackers world wide. SOMEBODY do something about this. Oh god hopefully the government will come to our rescue!!! They need to come up with legislation to control the internet as soon as possible!!! We are so screwed!! These hackers are ruining our lives!! No news on google for the past hour!!!
