Another man, apparently calling out orders or encouragement to the pullers, perches on the knees of the statue, which scholars estimated would have weighed 57 tons... "This is the last time!" Then, from on high, he turned to 200-plus leverers and pullers, and yelled at the top of his lungs, "ALLAH AKBAR!! (GOD IS GREAT!)" The sledge jumped and, for the first time, kept on going. One foot, two feet, five feet. Only after about ten feet did it finally grind to a halt. Celebrating Jubilant workers celebrate a good day's work by giving Roger Hopkins a victory lift... Ten feet. So 200-plus leverers and pullers, moves a 25 ton rock 5 feet in 24 hours...

Man those Egyptian laborers must have been supermen as some quarries were 100's of miles away.

And modern sisal ropes broke, so did steel cables at the Aswan dam site...

So again... what kind of rope did they actually have?

I think it is all very interesting and I would never deny the theory of extraterrestrials building the great pyramids, but Civilisations and tribes all around the world have been in existence long before written history - I believe creativity is mankinds driving force and that human beings are capable of anything with true passion and dedication to their work

Re the paintings/hieroglyphs in many of the building around Giza. my mate's dad served there during WW2 and use to tell us straight out, they spent a hell of a lot of time watching the locals *repainting them for the tourists*.

Humans and animals built the pyramids, the "coffins" for the same controlling families who have continued to enslave the people, animals and environment.

The ET were not part of this, it is our human history and a sick, saddistic one at that.

does'nt a particular species of bamboo (or was that hemp?) exceed steels strength in a certain rope type of construction?

As much as I beleive in aliens, I dont beleive they built the ancient pyramids. I believe ancient civilizations used and harbored the enery from the world grid to build these structures. Have you ever hear of Edward Leedskalnin the creator of corral castle? Edward Leedskalnin created Coral Castle and was said to have built it using "the secrets of the pyramids." He built the castle by himself, with no modern machinery or other modern tools of the time. I beleive he tapped into the ancient secrets of the world grid long forgotten to time. I also beleive that is how all of the ancient pyramids and structures around the world where built because they were able to tap into the world grid.

I also believe Nephilums had some part in building the pyramids, but their is to much evidence thats suggest humans built it. How to do you explain the masseve slave graves and ancient pictographs showing how man possibly built the structues? Many people seem to think anceint man where incapable of such labor intensive task, but I think I think its human ingenuity at is finest. Have you heard about the Tibetans, who could levitate stone? This thing can be easily found out....if you can somehow get the funding or have the moneys, you can try to build a replica of the great pyramid, like it was when it was build, only using today's technology....And if you cant do it with todays technology, then you might want to reconsider everything you know about the past.... To bad it would be to expensive to test this theory....... Aliens or humans who really cares who built the pyramids.

You are under the impression that skyscrapers will last thousands of years....if in the same place and conditions as the great pyramids are, and if not repaired and mentained every year, I dont think a sky skyscraper will last as long, as the pyramids.... It might be ruble in under 2 thousand years if even that.

Why is it that the great Pyramids of Giza, built in 3,000, are perfect, and still standing as tall as the day they were built? (Aside from the capstone and the polished stones, which were stripped by humans in the building of Cairo) The other Pyramids, which were supposedly built about 500 years later, all have shoddy masonry, and are crumbling down. An example of this is the famous 'bent' pyramid, which started out with the sides being built at one angle, then suddenly shifts in the middle to a shallower angle. First of all, you can't carbon date a rock. You can carbon date wood and "formerly living" things on or near the Pyramids, but that doesn't tell you when the buildings were built.

And lastly, the ancient Egyptians were anatomically identical to us -- they were what is often called "Modern Humans". That means that had the same brains we have, and the same intelligence we have, and thus the same capacity for problem-solving that we have. They may not have had our knowledge, but that is a different thing. Actually, our civilization does not have all of Ancient Egypt's knowledge, either -- some was lost.

The bottom line is that those people were as smart as us, and there is no reason to doubt that they could have come up with ingenious solutions to the challenges of moving and placing heavy stones without the use of power equipment.

If you asked a group of people today to move large stones without modern power equipment, they would -- in time -- figure out a way to do it. Why do you doubt that ancient Egyptians using the same brain we have could have also figure that out?
