When Hoaxes Fight Back: Now in HD.

I was recently on a thread in the [HOAX] section that was investigating
how Judy Fältskog, a supposed astronomer for NASA - discovered with
others, a signal from the stars that indicated intelligent life.

As the news broke across the internet, it was discussed how radio
telescopes could pick up a UV signal and how and why a struggling author
called Wayne Herschel was supposedly passing out this confidential information
via his FaceBook page.

Information surfaced that this Judy Fältskog was once a male who underwent
surgery, more information showed that her past was littered with less-than-
honourable adventures and the flames of doubt were fanned.
Wane Herschel slipped away into the background and a flood of information,
kindly provided by ATS members showed that this act of Judy's was doomed.

Anyway... and I'm sure you veterens here have seen it many times, certain
facts came to light that showed all of this to be the hoax that most have come
to accept.

The thread in the [HOAX] section slowed and hardly any traffic passed,
a few die-hards dragged bits of information that showed the author was still
putting his dubious-at-best theories about and there was occasionally, a website
that showed this Judy Fältskog had moved onto other things.

Personally, I thought it was over.

Then something happened.

Some members came on... new ones -I must add and
argued in such a fashion that they implied that they knew
Judy Fältskog very well.

They showed their anger at the comments and postings
about her and constantly left the topic. By doing so, they led
the 'stalwarts' of the thread away from the important facts
surrounding the thread and eventually... by this time, it
was indicated that even Judy Fältskog was one of them (I can't
prove that) and the thread was closed.

It became a bit of a circus and I suppose the reason I'm posting
this thread is:
Why were these people... (I'm a little nieve and it may have been
just one person using several names)... allowed to get here and do
the damage they did for such a long period?

How serious is this to the general well being of ATS?
I suppose there's many more questions and I know some of you
will be wondering which thread I'm on about.

At this point, BIAD usually says "enjoy"... but I very much doubt
you will.

I almost forgot, the thread shows that the grey areas regarding
reporting UFO's and the such is a petrie dish for charlatans and
snake-oil salesman... lots of factoids and lots of money are spread
about.
Like chumming the waters, when a hoax is discovered, these
unscrupulous types will do anything to protect their income.

It is amazing the lengths one will go to in deception, creativity, insanity?, sociopathy and etc just to turn a buck.
Never in my life have I seen more nonsense, namecalling, tempertantrums. And I'm trying to go back all the way to kindergarten on the "never in my life" part.
Speaking as a veteran of the "Lightworker Wars" and an "accused" sinister agent, demon, Masonic Lodge member, disinfo specialist, a worker for the Man, NSA operative, member of the Elks Lodge, Dairy board member, and finally, Vatican agent. I can honestly say I'm not impressed by the attempts to subterfuge the truth.

Thank you Marrr and for those who are reading this,
Marr was one of the contributers to the [HOAX]-revealed
thread and I personally wished for a place we could take this
further.

The first thing I wanted to think, and I shouldn't think that
way -I suppose, is that 'they' had won... the terrible things said
about innocent people who have nothing to do with the hoax
situation left me pondering what sort of species we really are.

Well, within 15 minutes, this thread was taken from 'SkunkWorks'
and placed in 'Rant' here in BTS, I suppose the Moderator took the
view that this was a rant and so we're here.

It wasn't a rant, it IS a question regarding the way devious acts
are committed to keep those who seek a truth about their world
and what the cost of such cruel proceedures.

I was curious to see if a 'map'- if you will, could be drawn up,
that shows how certain parties operate to keep the reader/viewer/
listener wanting more and how those folk will continue to pay
for the never-ending circus of UFO, Paranormal, mythical beasts
and the other 'off-mainstream media' topics.

It's all very shadowy indeed.

reagrding this Signal Hoax, here's one that will

Yes and welcome Romantic_Rebel... RICH-ENGLAND did
uncover lots of information from members of certain families
and in his corner, I have to say that I felt he was very noble
in the way he protected certain parts of that information.

Can you tell me what was going on in the thread? I know it was a hoax for a while. Who was the new user talking about court?

life and she seems to have hidden behind deceit through most of it.

BTW I think there might be some gang trouble around my neighborhood.
It's scary to lay down and hear gun shots as you sleep.

NSA= National Security Agency.
One of the many 'strange' posters on the thread threatened
a couple of us that her husband was a policeman and we was
just getting off the phone with his NSA pals!

The poster was posting in England and the NSA are an American
agency... anyway, nothing occurred.

Yes, near the end of the thread... and there's indications
that it occurred before, the accusations showed that this
poster knew Judy VERY well and was goading RICH to
reveal more of his private and persinal information regarding
Judy's previous marriages and offspring.

Maybe they want to take Rich to court for getting the information.

I'll try to get RICH-ENGLAND to respond to your question,
but as far as I could tell, the information was given to him
by the families with an understanding that he would not abuse
the information, just use it move further up the trail.

He felt... (I hope I can speak for him in this part)... that this
Signal Hoax was part of a greater whole.
