Spaceship? No ...it’s a cloud!

My friend k3rm1t just sent me this terrific example of a lenticular cloud that was thought by some to be a UFO.

It certainly isn’t the first time that’s happened!

We thought you might find it interesting.....

IT looks just like the spacecraft from blockbuster Close Encounters Of The Third Kind. But the UFO pictured hovering at sunset by Brian Wilton and his wife Isobel turned out to be a cloud.

Brian, 59, who researched the unusual formation after spotting it above Crieff, Perthshire, said that massive almond-shaped clouds like this are usually found in mountainous regions and can often vanish very quickly.

Marketing specialist Brian added: “We couldn’t believe it. It was like the scene in the movie Close Encounters Of The Third Kind when the huge spaceship comes down.”

Your incorrect. It is a spaceship, disguised as a cloud. Just like UFO's morphing into planes!

At first glance, I thought cloud right away. Its too imperfect looking to be a UFO disk.

I guess you & I would both recognise such a thing straight away!

Perhaps if some one hadn't seen one before & they were a bit exciteable, they might think it was a UFO for a little while.

that is an awesome picture, I am also inclined to beleive its a cloud, sure if ufos can master space travel then can master better cloakkng technology that won't make the cloud so round and so distinguished in the sky. but its a great picture

Wow, another amazing one

Clouds are so cool, I never knew they could look like that. I like clouds. Much prefer them to a totally clear blue sky.
