www.theherald.com.au...

So what child was harmed by the downloading of pornographic simpsons and pokemon cartoons?

More importantly, what child was protected by society paying to have this man charged and put through the court system?

TIRED OF CONTROL FREAKS

I agree, no child filmed, or even touched, as far as we know. Isn't a cartoon protected by free speech? And further, if the man who downloaded is guilty, should not Limewire also be guilty? And how about the person who uploaded the FLV to Limewire? I too have come across these kinds of videos in my internet travels, they are getting to be popular. It will be curious to see how the Supreme Court views this issue, when and if someone charged takes it that far. The industry definitely needs some definition as to what exactly defines child porn. And ,like many others in here, I too am both saddened and angry at those who promote child pornography, both on the internet and mail. Charge the guilty, and Free the innocent.

Now I agree that acting pedophiles do deserve a long sentence but this sounds very big brotherish...defective by design. Who else is defective that should be terminated I wonder?

This comes from a book by David Icke called The Biggest Secret.
He dovtes quite a lot of pages to the subject and it's a fascinating read.
I discovered several Biggest Secrets from the book:

1 He names names and yet he hasn't been prosecuted.
2 So many people believe what he says
3 He makes so much money from it as well

But i believe that there is a paedophile ring among the higher echelons in Governments of the Western world.
Remember what happened in Belgium and Holland a few years ago?

Well, this is true. Pedophile's are more or less given the old "wink, wink, nudge, nudge".

Look at Miley Cyrus. Does no one feel it inappropriate for her to dance on a stripper pole? Or for Miranda Cosgrove to be wearing a bikini and grass skirt?

This is an institution. Child sex is not always the overt. The fact that groups like NAMBLA even exist should be a wake up call to those who feel that children are not sexual toys.

Edit to add: lets look at this culturally. On TV, do we have people in their 40's being celebrated for their beauty? The signs of aging: cellulite, spare tire, bags under the eyes, grey hair...how often are these things seen as beauty?

I was just reading a critique of Pam Anderson, where it was asked if anyone was sick of seeing her "old, naked body".

The models that we see...are any of them womanly? Do they have wider hips, as a mother and a mature woman would have? Or are they waifish, reminding you of a 5th grader?

Every single person who partakes in our global culture supports the child porn desires of the perverts. Whether you admit it or not. Every purchase of Abercrombie and Fitch, every time you tune in to Disney. It is an institution.

Don't get me wrong, I'm no ultra right wing nutjob.

The reason peodophiles don't get long sentences is because there are so many of them, around 5-10% of males and 1 to 2.5% of females (in the UK) if memory serves me correct. I guess they don't all act on their impulses but many will, starting with minor abuse and escalating. Imagine if we had to imprison that many people and its effect on our economy.

Like I said, better to eradicate it totally like the cancer it is and forego the short term effects. Slice em up for fertiliser
Set the bacon slicer thickness proportional to their victims age!

Once we are rid of them we can start on the ...

When my daughter was about 13 months old,my baby sister was 3
years old. They were taking a bubblebath together and playing.I
thought it was so cute that I decided to take a picture. When I took
the film to be developed, the store refused to print the pictures.
The pictures were not considered appropriate. How can anyone think
two babies taking a bubblebath together is inappropriate? This picture
was taken in 1976.

I don't know why i got so angry over this thread when there is a very obvious truth staring us all in the face. The threads title is outlandish.

1. The government isn't now, even in a small minority calling for the legalization of any of this. there are no signs they are thinking of it either.

2. This is one MP's opinion, however that opinion was from years back by the looks of things. Not only that but this MP is massively unpopular already without this little scandal.

3. Let us say, hypothetically that all of the MP's in parliament want sexually explicit material, involving children legalised. Just for a moment lets suppose this. Do you honestly believe that the British public would stand for this? I mean i know we have become complacment when it comes to free speech and the invasion of our privacy but do you honestly believe we would just stand by and take the legalisation of child pornography? The british public rioted over the poll tax and i can assure you that we care more about children than taxes.

If MP's voted to legalise any of this stuff then all that would happen is we would have a lot of empty seats in parliament and a full obituary column.

For the record I think it's important to point out that Harriet Harman was not implicated in the MPs expenses scandal. It was Jacqui Smith who put in expenses claims for her husband's porn, not HH.

Regarding pedos, I think a lot of it isn't about attraction but power as many offenders are impotent and afraid of relationships with adults.

Whatever, they must all be castrated and in the UK we need far more severe sentences for all crimes against children. The current system is abhorrent to any sane person.

Hate to be that guy but OP in this case is getting rather famous for sensationalism. Not sure any of his threads ever pan out honestly. Pedophilia is bad but this thread doesn't bother me

False flag.

More laws are being hammered out, now even making things like anime and such illegal...and more fear is being caused to justify the endless roleout of new laws to protect your kids (therefore you dont have to...thanks big brother).

Keep feeding the fear machine...did you know that drug pushers are trying to sell your kids crack...I think that will be the next overhaul of our liberties.

The more you become scared and insist the government protect your every waking moment, the more of a slave you become to the system.

I am barely even a halfarsed CT'ist, but even I see the pretty obvious motives here beyond the initial shock value nonsense.

Sensationalism wins out over facts...its how the public is swayed into doing just about anything....and if you add sensationalism + the magic "for the children" catch phrase, you are full of win and can rule nations under a iron fist.

I may take a gander at his previous topics and if indeed this guy is a disinfo machine, I will simply hit the ignore button and move on with life.

I think that one way to combat this problem is to punish countries where it is accepted or legal like certain European places, by completely shutting them out of trade or aid....or even kicking them out of the UN and getting NO protection or funding from the rest of the civilized world until they change their ways

You know i can't think of a European country where child pornography is legal. I think i know a lot about this issue, so if i have missed something i would be very grateful if you could correct me.

No quite simply it is NOT legal in Denmark. There is a political movement to make it legal but it is a small movement of some very worrying men.

In fact all European countries that are a part of the union must abide by these standards

If a child - a real child - in a picture or film of this nature they are being abused. This is not a debateable point EXCEPT IF YOU ARE A PEDOPHILE and you stand to gain something by trying to muddy the water.

The warlords in Afghanistan are amoungst the lowest forms of life on this planet. The treatment they dole out is about what you can expect in a society like that.

I wish that all the people like this would have a simultaneous heart-attack and die.
