Well, isn't this a helpful thread ...

All hugglez and sunshine.

You know what would be nice?

If we all just discussed our thoughts on every specific issue according to our conscience and not because they are approximate to the rigid egoic prisons of political ideology or party.

Oh but we do like the circle jerk validation of our little groups don't we?

Independent thought begs solitude and admonishment from the threatened group identity egos. In fact more so than towards each other, after all, coins (both sides) hate it when you're not a coin.

Carry on I guess.

I wasn't afraid to say that either but I will always take the lesser of two evils. Sadam should've been whiped off the Earth anyway, torture is exceptable since their choppin heads off. I could go on and on and on. Of course I was opposed to the patriot act but what president isn't going to have something that you don't like??????

I would be disappointed that you didn't notice my opinion piece of how the Healthcare could be a key to control, but then again no one else noticed it either. I would go more into depth on my idea but no one wanted to discuss it. Just another thread that went nowhere, like most of my threads that I start.

Now with that said, I favor myself far more aligned with a Constitutionalist than a Republican. Much like Ron Paul, but I did not support Dr. Paul as I felt he wasn't entirely genuine at the time and was pandering too much to his supporters. I also saw quite a number of things that he said to be inhumane at best. In that he followed more the letter than the spirit of the Constitution.

But if you feel that the left has not had their share of bashing and trash talking, I suggest you look over some posts from the Bush era. I think you will find both left and right well represented in the bashing and complaining dept. just with positions reversed.

Of course there are some of us that equally look at everything coming down the pike and bashing (or rarely praising) it because we scrutinize everything that our overlords in DC think is best for us.

I have resources and skills in forum building so if anyone thinks we should start up a new conspiracy forum that outright bans these loonies let me know and I'll put it together.

You do realize that this is a CLEAR violation of the T & C, don't you?

You are soliciting your services to help create a competitive forum..

The best forum communities I have ever used catered to the liberal mindset and ran off conservatives & religious loonies. It is a shame ATS can't do the same.

Wow, now there is a real unbiased attitude.
Anyone that doesn't agree with your liberal ideas should be run off?
Who is the Nazi? I suggest you pick up a history book, and see how intolerant the Nazi's were of any view different than yours. Then go visit Auschwitz and see where those people that disagreed with them, ended up.

People that have attitudes like you are the real problem with this country.
You sicken me.

Lighten up, I made an observation regarding my participation on loony free forums. The liberal mindset is rational, open minded, thirsty for knowledge and change. THIS facilitates the BEST forum discussions possible. Not some mindless hill billies invading threads and telling people they are going to hell and Obama is the anti-christ. If wanting to discuss topics in a scientific and rational way sickens you then so be it!

Actually that wasn't sarcastic at all and I think your sarcasm detection filter are EXtremely off if you thought I was being sarcastic. Love how when someone is losing an arguement they result to smear tactics.

I'm a child who laughs.

I am glad we both laughed.. because I had to read this twice to make sense of it.. your reply to the fella on page 2.. he was being sarcastic and you agreed, which was funny.

Still is funny. And after that reply, even funnier.

The JFK assasination if you'd like further political conspiracies do a search.

I fail to see the relevance?

Then why criticize people who criticize the president? You've just stated that not everyone is going to agree but then you state (with this thread) that we can't do it???

Man-up NoJoker, either we can criticize or we can't. Why don't YOU decide who gets to say what they want to say. Just send me a U2U with a list of acceptable thread topics, then like a good little boy, I will post it.

-sheesh-

I'm sure you will tattle on me, get me banned.. then one less liberal socialist sinner on ATS. I'm pretty much done here anyway. I joined thinking this place was more science based and rational, turns out it's just evangelicals and right wingers trying to manipulate it like the do on digg & reddit.

The liberal mindset is rational, open minded, thirsty for knowledge and change.

Do you even get what you are saying? On one hand, you claim liberals are open minded, but you claim to be a liberal and you want to ban conservatives.
In addition, your claim of open-mindedness of other liberals is negated by your spokesperson in the House, Nancy Pelosi, who, like you , believes that protest is un-American.
You are free to go create your one-sided, one-minded forum, where everyone will agree with everything you say. I'm sure you'll learn a great deal.

However, don't use ATS to solicit for that effort. I'm sure that the owners of ATS do not approve of that. After all, it is THEIR forum, not yours.

So people that disagree with the broad brush that you tried to paint just about everybody with, is proof of "right wing" bias?

I'm not following the logic. It really sounds like you have a problem with people that have views that don't agree with yours.

I believe the more things that are free for EVERYONE, the closer I'm abiding by the constitution. You don't know till you try.

You can believe what you want, but at the end of the day you have no idea what the constitution is about, nor are you even close.

It's a system of limited government. It's been flipped around for the past 100 years into a system of limited rights. You think the constitution is a bunch of things government can't do, but in reality it's a list of the things they are supposed to do. And part of your bill of rights - which you obviously do not even know is for anything not listed to automatically be handed down to the states, local, and then down to you. This is called the 10th amendment, and combined with the 9th amendment is supposed to create a lock on things.

See, when they were creating the constitution, there was a debate. 1 side of the debate wanted to list rights, so that they could never be infringed upon. The other side didn't want to list any rights at all, for fear of 1 day being reduced to only those rights. So, the solution was the 9th and 10th amendments. The 9th amendment says that you can't add things that take away from a previously given right, and the 10th amendment says anything not listed is by default off limits.

Those things can be picked up by the lower governments, and in many cases it is perfectly fine when they do. When it is in the lower governments, you vote more often, you vote among a less amount of people, and so it is easier to get change and fix the problems. You also get many programs going at once, which allows for new things to be tried all the time. When something works in 1 area, say traffic lights, the other communities pick it up and add it. When something doesn't work, then only that community or state suffers, and they have 49 other programs to draw upon for how to best fix the problem. This is "decentralization" or power to the people.

But today, they have bypassed the loop of the 9th and 10th amendments, thereby infringing on your most basic rights, or "freedoms" through the general welfare clause, which is actually the part of the constitution that gives the federal government the power to uphold the amendments, as the other place the words "general welfare" is mentioned is in the preamble of the constitution, which lays out the purpose of the constitution.

Which is quite wonderful btw. Because when you add things with amendments, they by default become universal to everyone. Where as with the general welfare clause, they simply do whatever they want giving special rights to special people - usually corporations and all they have to do is "spin" it for being "for the good".

If they really wanted universal healthcare, education or other things, they would simply be passing amendments like "healthcare shall be provide to all", and since it's an amendment they now have permission to do it as per the 10th amendment, and as it becomes a right then it's automatically given to everyone equally. I still think it's a dumb idea, but that is the proper way to do it - not that any of the politicians really care, because they just really want to be able to funnel money/power to those who support whatever crazy agenda they have to leech off the people.

And I haven't even hit on the gross loss of rights being taken away, such as the right to an honest monetary system, habeus corpus and tons of others.

I wasn't a liberal commie lover(among the nicer things called) 7 years ago when I was against the Iraq war and things going on, and I'm not some redneck, gun toting racist redneck today. But you'll never know that, or really much of anything because all you seem to know is how to apply the labels you pick up off the tv and insult people like you are in the 8th grade repeating the talking points you received from your daily programming.

So, you can either take the time to educate yourself on the system and why it's worth speaking up for, or you can continue along with the stupidity. But you bring that stuff around me, and I'm going to show just how ignorant the crap is.
