www.youtube.com...

Anyone catch this entire segment? Are these two clowns really hoping for a nuke to fall to save America?

I think the sad thing is that Obama and Congress have us heading in such a bad direction that people would even begin to think that maybe getting nuked is the only thing that can save us. It does seem more and more hopeless as we watch Obama and Co. destroy the nation daily with leaps and bounds.

I saw it on tv and was profoundly disturbed.

Don't get me wrong. I can't stand seeing what Obama and co. are doing to this country.

But this disturbed me on a visceral level.

Neither one of the "clowns" expressed a wish nor want for a nuke to be dropped. The guest of Beck's was saying that he BELIEVES that the only thing that will galvanize Americans to resist the whims of their government is if [specifically] Osama Bin Laden were to orchestrate a nuclear attack on the U.S.

It has become very fashionable to bitch about Glenn Beck -- hey, he makes it easy. He ticks me off frequently as well.

Still, this is yet ANOTHER instance of the youtube title being a sensationalized lie, as well as this thread title. It's pure hyperbole.

But then, you knew that, right?

No, I understand it as having a major event occur in the US is the only way to stimulate this current administration into protection mode, from without, rather than from within. Meaning pay more attention to the self-proclaimed terrorists, rather than the American taxpayer.

I got not one hint that either of them want a nuke event. We know it is coming, don't we? It is a matter of when. I would like to know when, so that I could get a good seat to see the show.
I think our 4th of July fireworks are questionable due to budgetary considerations.

That coked-up lunatic does not want to save us. He want to destroy us. That should be obvious. He's getting more disturbed by the day. I think that's the plan though.

Yes, we all want people to die and have as much violence carried out in our name as possible just to make a political point (not). If anyone were to actually collude to bring such a scenario to fruition, I bet it would be the same ones saying we need our government to protect us as effectively, consistently and with as much violence as necessary.

It's funny how they scream "small government" but want the government there to do all this stuff for them.

I can completely agree with what you said, he was just pointing out a scenario. I don't like the guy but i dont take things out of context either.

Edit: missing letters, keys on keyboard not responding as they used to.

I guess because it was spoken. It was actually said that disturbed me the most.

It's that 800lb gorilla in the room.

I've lived with humans long enough not to listen to nonsense claiming that evil intent is innocence. He just doesn't want to say it directly and decisively but that is what he means. It is just a way of expressing his wishes while maintaining the air of objectivity and distance from them.

Wakeup time.

um, I'm not being intentionally obtuse. I was just wondering which coked-up lunatic you were referring to? I hope you know the person personally; wouldn't want to make a charged statement like that just for the sake of making a point, would you?

I wonder sometimes, particularly with Glenn Beck related threads, how many people actually watch the video before they decend upon the thread to add their judgement. Imagine my grief -- I just want the truth to be heard and lately I find myself in the awkward position of being lauded a Beck defender. I'm a defender of anyone being unfairly maligned, including President Obama, whom I am trying desperately to support.

Okay, fair enough. Allthough you took the roundabout way of doing so, what I hear is that you're expressing your opinion.

I can't argue with that. I don't agree with Beck's guest -- I don't think that's the only hope for America, but I also don't appreciate citations being made to either of them that they didn't say.

I have no problem with anyone hating either of them -- just hate them for something they said or did, not some made-up smear that unknown person #2017 on youtube said.

Think I'm asleep? Really?

cheers

I guess it's merely my opinion. Sure, I can go with that. Why not?

You could argue with it if you think my opinion stinks.

I don't think it is an inaccurate assessment of motive regardless of it not being a direct quote. I agree based upon what I've observed over the long term. That speech is designed to mobilize fanatics into taking action-- oh, only OBL is capable of inflicting damage? I'll show you!

deploy, detonate, grass roots, prize
"...violence as necesary" is pronounced dangerously close to "violence is necessary"

Think I'm asleep? Really?

cheers

Haha.

Look at my thread title. What do you see? The question mark? See it? I didn't know, I didn't see the segment. What good is the forum if not for this very reason? It's why I'm here, it's why your here correct? I asked specifically if anyone seen the entire segment for the sole purpose of not trusting someone's You Tube post.

Thanks for the reply it's much appreciated.

So I tell this kid to quit playing with a mouse trap. I says "you're gonna get your fingers in there and it's gonna hurt" and he just keeps playing with it.

A passer by says to me "that kid is gonna get hurt." "I've told him not to do that a dozen times now and he doesnt seem to care" I say. "I guess he's just gonna have to learn the hard way" the passer by says.**

**So, is this when I start yelling and screaming that this "passer by" is wishing harm on the child? Do I run off and call the cops on this monster? Or would that be an absurd assumption to make and a ridiculous response to have?**

Gimme a break.

Does this make Glen Beck an enemy of the United States? Or is he just expressing his right to free speech by calling for an Attack on American soil?

Nobody should do anything and let america go bankrupt. How come he is no called a terrorist and put on watch lists, with people like alex jones also. These two love people being tortured, by there sick country and they say things like this.

No one should do anything to america, just let it bankrupt itself.

Wishing for an Attack on America for any reason whatsoever is sickening. I don't care what tortured logic is behind it. If you care at all for this country you shouldn't be wishing for a terrorist attack.

How sick is this guy?

I still don't get how many in this thread keep refering to "wishing and attack".

he said it would take a catastrophe to wake america up and gave an example.
