This might have something to do with what's going on right now in North Korea with the missile tests coming up?

China is North Korea's biggest benefactor I surmise?

Maybe it doesn't have anything to do with our current, the checks in the mail status and more to do with North Korea/South Korea politics and Nuclear proliferation?

That's what I am talking about!

Though I don't make a very good skeptic, he looks Hawaiian to me. Are you sure that wasn't the guy who made President Obama's Birth Certificate?

Who ever made it had a hard time accessorizing too!

The report also said that the U.S. ship was unarmed. Somehow I disbelieve this.

"USNS Impeccable will support the Navy as a platform for scientists from the Integrated Undersea Surveillance Systems community," said Vice Adm. Holder. "We at MSC will operate the ship. We will provide the civilian mariners for the engine room, the wheelhouse and the galley."

www.msc.navy.mil...

I think the Navy should assign a ship like this one to escort unarmed ships like the Impeccable near Chinese waters and see if they harass them then.

Its a science survey ship why would they harrass that? Its for oceanographic scientific stuff not for spying. They don't need ships for spying they have satellites and planes. It doesn't even have any decent weapons on it.

Congratulations Captain Cave Man you have just qualified to be second in command at the United States Treasury Department.

Well said!

Just a survey ship. Tell me did you write that with a straight face? They could use you to handle Congress's briefing on the Economic Crisis tomorrow.

Thanks for the post.

Wow tell me is that usually how you speak to people?
In such a wonderful smart mouthed condescending manner?
Because surely you can see how that wouldn't get you very far in life?
Or do you just do it on the internet because, you can hide?

I have to confess I can be the paranoid type at times. Ever since the false flag attack by the Israelis on the U.S.S. Liberty you would think they would better escort Spy Vessels.

Of course they are spying and two is company and three is a crowd!

And it does make it a bit harder to conduct a false flag.

This in fact could have been a false flag gone bad and lost in translation.

"Send them to the moon Chairman" says the U.S. President.

"The President says we are to moon the Ship!" Says the Chinese Chairman's interpreter. Chinese Chairman smiles wisely and tells his top Admiral "Make it so"

I am very sorry. My most humble apology. It was actually meant as a compliment and not any form of derogatory indictment.

You put your point across so succinctly and well written it would be just what I would be looking for in a spokesman.

I am truly sorry if I offended you in any way.

Never hide by the way, leave the front door unlocked all the time, and you are more than welcome as is anyone to visit anytime. We can throw a few steaks on the grill and have a few laughs.

I am truly sorry if you thought that laugh was at your expense.

Thanks for your post.

They probably just noticed the "For SALE - Going out of Business" sign on the ship. They were just the repo crew checking in on their property.

On a realistic note.... the US would do the same if China had a ship doing "Scientific research" off their coast.

Chinas growing more balls as time passes
the US is becoming more like a corpse as the econmic downfall Hits hard
they are just taking these opertunities to rub it in the faces of the US,

Look at the USSR
was larger then the US in size (satalite states) had a formidle force
but all that whent downhill as it couldnt afford to keep its forces operational.

the US spends 450+ billion on its forces (ships, Planes, army)
how long before they cant afford to maintain their expensive toys?

the Big Boy on the Blocks growing old and losing its teath

It's a day that will always live in infamy in my mind.

As I said when it involves spy ships and incidents like this it's always potentially worrisome for us little people.

The ships are going to start doing to us what we have done for a half of a century to other ships.

The time has come. China is the new TOP superpower of the world. They practically OWN us. They can do as they please and we can not do one thing about it. All we can do is cower down and hope they do not do anything drastic.

I have a prediction you know. This land will be full of Chinese after about 6 years in 2015. There is way to much Brown nosing to the Chinese for some hidden and strange reason that I am not fully aware of.

Shall we wait and see.

I think they probably strayed too far into chinese waters "accidentally on purpose" if you get me. They probably got caught give the Chinese the V's and tried to ignore them. So the Chinese acted like pesky little buggers.

They could probably have sent something bigger to block the US ship though. It makes you wonder why they only sent 3 small ships.

Ron Paul is very correct in my humble opinion. Attempting to maintain such a far flung Empire inevitably becomes the doom of every far flung empire as the machine devours more and more resources to keep itself functioning and bristling and shining.

Change sure seems on the horizon.

Come on now don't turn this into an anti American bashing thread. The grown ups are having a conversation here.

And we are not a union that was forced together like the former Soviets were.

I think the Chinese are just showing that they are still there this type of stuff has been going on since the 50s no big deal really.
