What's the difference anyway, between keeping your guns and keeping your privacy? It is now "legal" to search you and your effects in the name of "public safety" without warrant and under a blanket of "probable cause" that specifies no one.

What good is the 4th Amendment at this point? None, it has been thrown out the window and not a single soldier has done a thing about it to defend the people. I want a soldier to escort me the next time I ride the subway, and protect my Constitutional rights.


EDIT to add: But just to be clear once again, this is no more the fault of the soldier than it is every single complacent citizen. More specifically this is the fault of the puppeteers behind the facade of legit government who know exactly what they are doing, and have most of America fooled at this point.

IMO, the troops will do as ordered for the most part.

There won't be an enlightenment among them, they will simply follow orders and secure order amongst the public. It will be their job and they will abide.

One only needs to remember Tienamnen Square.

I think they would attack US citizens because of orders. Think an LA riot type situation, now lets say the government orders the G.I. (Government Issue) to attack said citizens i belive they will with out question, orders is orders and all that.

But what i hope is that if such a situation arises (NWO) it will not take them long to work out what's going on and then step up to defend Joe nobody.

Otherwise were all screwd



And to add smething a bit more contructive.............theres not a person in the Millitary that DOES NOT do as there told..................soon as you dont fit in .....your out of there............your choice or not!

The military does have mandatory training on the difference between lawful and unlawful orders. If an order is unlawful then you are obligated not to obey that command.

Telling a soldier to kill civilians is unlawful and would not be obeyed. Just because they are trained to kill it does not make them machines.

I think that it is in our best interest to educate any soldier we are associated with that they may be used as a WMD to attack American citizens. We should relay this message so they can look for such potential orders and warn us. If they have the knowledge we can use it for our advantage. We should be proactive as possible to prevent any such altercations.

Yes I'm part of the club. Thats how I know soldiers wouldn't attack Americans if ordered to. We already know we were used for a personal agenda. We wouldn't make that mistake against our own people. We ARE NOT the government. We are paid by hard American workers and will do everything in our power to protect. We are not a bunch of Prescott Bushes working with enemy.

Think of this though in the chaos of battle orders have to and will be obey'd that is what soldiers do.

So i stand by my view that a platoon/garrasion will obey orders if they are form a truest'd source.


Put it this way,there is a submarine full of nukes obliviouse to who won the world series, that will strike given the order no matter what.

I totally agree, some will partake in evil actions. I also believe that as Americans we do have some values we hold very dear to us. One being protect the ones that we love.

To insure that such a scenario does not arise isn't our duty to educate soldiers on the possibility of them being used to imprison us?

Friend, I have read a lot of your post and by doing so I'd like to say that I have a feel for the kind of person that you are, and I like it. You have stood up for the people that you served with quite honorably against people with strong arguments relentlessly and with great conviction. They would be proud and though I was a Marine in a different war I want you to know that you make me proud. You are an idealist with a fighting spirit, and I wish and hope that there are a lot more like you if the situation as such has been spoke of in your best thread yet, ever becomes a reality. My promise to you, is that I for one and every battle buddy of mine would defend the people against a government gone hostile towards it's own. Because one, I take my oath to "support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic" very seriously,as do they. The Constitution is a foundational corner stone established by the people, we the people.

All you have to do, to see my passion on this subject, is search my threads and posts. 99% of them are a testiment to my dedication to our Country, and it's people.

It really irks me when I hear people calling everyone in the military brainwashed and speaking badly of us. I think that we should take all those people to Iraq with us, drop them off and tell them to fend for themselves. But you a 1000 bucks 'they' wouldn't last a week.

Now on a slightly less bitter note...I don't think civilians realize what can happen to us if we say no were not going to do something. I mean if we don't show up for work we have the police at our door. At the end of the day most military members ore civilians. I am in the military because I need money for school. I am reenlisting so my husband can finish med school. I don't love being in the military, but yes, I will do what I can to defend my family and help anyone who needs me. I am a slight anomaly where I work. I get teased and called a 'hippie' for wanting to save the planet and discover things undiscovered which is one reason why I come to this site to maybe find people to help me with these things, but I also want to remind these same people that if it wasn't for people in the military would not be able to have this kind of discussion. We would all probably be arrested. So please give us Airman, Soldiers, Seamen, and Marines (well there kinda crazy...lol
) a little slack

Sure, but then those with a conscience know the difference, it is the covert manipulation we have to worry about. That is where it gets blurry, we can thank the past few administartions for that though.

I believe you would not defend us because they are not doing it now.They are tools.The Cia never told Bush iraq was an imminent threat nor did he have information that said he had weapons of mass destruction.It was only an opinion that he had them.they went and wasted our hard earned money that could be better spent because they and the politicians are reacting emotionaly and not logicaly .So were the supporters of the illegal war due to what happenned on september 11.What bush did is far worse than a blow job.bush belongs in jail ,but they let themselves be used as tools by him because they will do what they are told. besides have you forgot about Kent State.It was soldiers that killed kids walking to their classes.Even then they had defenders of what was obviously murder from the sheeple.
