Hi,
As we all know, Halloween is just around the corner. Those of you who know me and the wife, know that we usually go all out with our party and we try to come up with snazzy costumes.

So Far every year, the wife has come up with some really great costumes for us too. Well, this year we just aren't coming up with anything good.

This is where you come in. Choose our 2008 Halloween Costumes.

We're open to a lot of suggetions. Also, I'm not opposed to dressing as the "other half" either. So ideas can have a wide variety.

Here's some guidlines,

1. Comfort, we need to be flexible and comfortable throughout the night.
2. Cost, I'd like to stay under $25-30 per costume - thrift stores are great.

Well thats really it I guess.

SO get to thinking and get your entry in.

Should we choose your suggestion, you'll win 1000 ATS points.
All entries will receive 100 ATS points.

also, should we not choose someones suggestion you'll still get the 100 ATS points.

Thanks for playing.

2005 - Little Red Riding Hood / Wolf (I was Little Red)

2006 - Dog the Bounty Hunter / His Wife Beth (I was Beth)

is anyone seeing a pattern here...

2007 - Mr Heat Mizer and Mr Snow Mizer. (from the 70's tv show - The Year Without A Santa Clause)

Oh you like the amazon types admit it elevated!

Ok well Sonny and Cher could work since Cher was widely considered taller than Sonny.

After some sleuthing (and reading of your previous costumes) I might have a better idea...

Stay at home mom & The Milkman

You could be the mom and wifey could go as the milkman! You could even go as a pregnant mom.... I wonder who's kid it is?

Well.....

You: A paycheck
Your Wife: A credit card

You: Barak Obama
Your Wife: Hillary

You: Mr. ATS
Your Wife: Mrs. BTS

You: A big lock
Your wife: The key

Just a few off the top of my head.

Hmmm, seems to me that you enjoy dressing the other part!

It's all fun and games anyway.

Perhaps you could go as Herman & Lilly Munster. Although, that is a bit cliche.

I'll try to keep coming up with something. I just have to get some sort of thought process going.

The Triple Goddess and the Lord of Light and Shadow

Interestingly goes along with the 23 conspiracy

An apple could be one of the props... which has strong Samhain/Halloween symbolism.

You can go as what I am dressing up as. Blobsquatch. I plan on trick-or-treating ringing the doorbell, then hiding in the bushes. And only let people see a dark blurry imagine of me.

ElevatedOne I have to ask..as you say comfort is a big factor in choosing your costumes. You seem to always have the female role, does that mean you are comfortable in fishnets and heels??

HULA DANCER AND TOURIST
HOTDOG AND BOTTLE OF KETCHUP ( I had a couple of friends do this in high school..really cute.)
MR. & MRS. POTATO HEAD
TWEEDLE DEE AND TWEEDLE DUM
A 50's couple. (AND guess who wears the poodle skirt?)

FLOWER AND A BEE (Watch that stinger!!!! lol)
GREEN EGGS AND HAM
HAMPER OF DIRTY LAUNDRY AND A WASHER WOMAN
FAST FOOD EMPLOYEE and FRENCH FRIES (Want Fries with that???)

You could be Lord Jedi Miller all you need is a white t-shirt, Star Wars undies and a 24oz. Miller Lite in hand!

Supr can be Princess Leia, or actually any character from Star wars will work! lol

...maybe you could shave your back hair and make her into Chewbacca!

Some really good ideas so far. Thanks for the input. I definitely like to try and be a little creative and not just buy mask and cape in a bag etc. There's something so exciting about being able to put your own twist on the costume. Although making all the eerie treats is the best part of Halloween. Nothing wrong with planning in advance. I always seem to run out of time come Sept. and Oct. so the more I can get done ahead of time the better.

I think being Dog the Bounty hunter was my favorite costume so far. Snow Miser was cool but the sweat kept building up in the latex nose. YUCK!! Elevatedone gets to be the woman by default since most of the outfits fit him better, plus it's just dang funny to see him in tights, heels and makeup!!

I have a pretty good idea list going, just waiting for the perfect costumes to jump out at me.
