There have been some major developments going on in South America that have been oddly ignored by most of the media. South America is moving towards an EU-style super-state!

The most dire part, what makes this so mind-boggling for the media to ignore, is that Chavez is actively pushing for this super-state to be formed.

Part of this super-state would consist of the Andean Community, which Chavez called for making more "Bolivarian" the preferred term for Chavez's socialist ideology.

english.pravda.ru...

Ironically enough Simon Bolivar, a freemason who was tutored by a member of the Jacobin Club, is a name constantly harped on by advocates of a United South American State and unlike European leaders, these guys are being very honest about its intent like this quote from then Peruvian president Alejandro Toledo:

We are here to make Simón Bolívar's dream real. [...] Sooner, rather than later, we shall have a single currency, a single passport... Sooner, rather than later, we shall have a parliament with directly elected representatives for this new nation that we are creating today.

en.wikipedia.org...

It would seem only the East African Community is so vocal about its longing for nationhood.

A glance at the stated goal of the group shows a clear push towards an EU-style government.

This December is when Unasur is expected to formally emerge as a regional trading bloc and one step in this direction was the formation of the Bank of the South at the urging of Chavez.

www.hardbeatnews.com...

So with all this happening with lots of nudging by Chavez it's amazing none of the mainstream media has picked up on this group. I would want to know why the radically socialist Chavez is so interested in a supranational organization like this. It certainly can't be good.

Not everything is a conspiracy.

A "super union" between socialist leaders like this is absoltuely necessary for the South American economy to survive and thrive. Chavez has proved himself to be a man of the commonpeople of his country, and rest assured he would kill to keep it that way.

Chavez is NOT a "man of the people", he is just using them and their problems as a ploy to gain absolute power.

A real democratically elected leader does not send the Guardia Nacional to crush any opposition protests in the streets and round up all dissenters.

It was subtle so you must have missed it.........

South America has been picked apart by Western Capitalism for the better part of 50 years now. This trading bloc is a method of assurance for their economy and hopes to relieve themselves of the IMF and (if they're smart) the WTO.

In my eyes, regardless of who is leading the charge, this is a good thing. Provided the benefits from leaving the IMF (and its usurious debt and harsh austerity programs) behind actually go to the people.

True and while these organizations tend to be conspiracies, this is more about building the New World Order than a simple conspiracy.

I don't think Venezuela, Colombia, or Bolivia have anything to do with the "NWO." Chavez hates the political ideology of the United States, he wouldn't be contributing to some aspect of "THE PLAN, dun dun dunnn."

Chavez wouldn't contribute to the U.S. plan, but that's not the only plan out there. Certainly centralizing power in South America would make it all the easier for a New World Order to centralize power.

The South American political machine is pretty skeptical of it's big brother up north. Bolivia or Venezuela would rather die than succumb to the same noose they cut off their throats recently. They're stablizing it for their own good, not anybody else. Even if your "NWO, DUN DUnnn scary music**" did reach into the union in those countries, I bet you would see a secession from those who do not agree with the lining of native pockets with U.S. dollars.

F.Y.I. this process is further along than many might think:

Venezuela Pulling Out of IMF, World Bank

Brazil To Join "Bank of the South"

Are you saying this is a good or bad thing?

I am thrilled what South America is doing and the progress they're making. No more whipping boy for South America! More power to them.

Hi... I live in Brazil for all my life and I follow the politics for south america closely.

I honestly can say (and you all can believe with no fear) that Chavez has not (yet at least) "united south america". He is a clever man who uses the "let's hate and blame US for everything" ideology to get to power.
Also.. keep in mind that he is LOVING the oil peak as far as I know (research and you shall figure why).

The "one huge nation" idea is far from coming reality... There are many many many differences between all the cultures around here (South America) that just wouldn't allow it to be true. The Bank of the South is another thing... some may say it's the beggining although from where I stand it looks more like a way out the IMF. And a way in to making trades with our neighbors easier and more "fair".

But I can be wrong....

Peace

Again the association of a NWO with the U.S. Do you honestly think the United States is the only country or group working towards a one-world government?

If you're implying that South America is pushing towards a "New World Order," than I'd have to disagree with you. Chavez is pissed, obviously, but that doesn't mean he's trying to make a worldwide socialist or communist order. That would be irrational for me to think like that, as I am a fan of common sense and balance.

I'm saying that this is part of a NWO. Chavez is pushing on this, but it's not his idea alone.

I have some heart breaking news...Not everything is a conspiracy.

Just because it's related to nations conglomerating, doesn't necessarily it's for ONE reason. There is millions of reasons why countries make ties with one another, and some conspiracy of one world government isn't always it. There's more immediate needs of these nations, and I can guarantee you, they're more dire than the worlds sociopolitical structure in 100 years.

Unless Chavez replaces Capitalist $$$ with Socialist $$$ he will not succeed.

Enter China, and the game changes.
