Canada Could Resume Aid to North Korea

Canada has opened the door to resuming critical aid to North Korea if Pyongyang honours its commitments under a nuclear disarmament deal, Foreign Affairs Minister Peter MacKay said on Wednesday.

Canada is prepared to help North Koreans on issues of malnutrition and education, but it is dependent on the North's compliance with the nuclear deal ...

Hopefully, the promise to renew aid programs from countries like Canada will go a long way to securring North Korea's compliance with the nuclear disarmament deal.

Sometimes a carrot is better than the stick.
