Well, lets hear it.

As a matter of personal interest I enjoy hearing about others beliefs (as long as it does not turn into an attempt to convert me). So, in that light, If you feel comfortable in doing so lets hear what religion/spiritual belief system/theological ideology you 'follow'.

This is a thread where you can openly share your thoughts and views on something that is held very dear to millions of people (their faith).

This is not an excuse to preach your beliefs on others. This is not an excuse to bash others beliefs.

If you have a question about what someone has posted then please, by all means, ask it. But follow this simple guideline:

The Rules: Asking Questions

Correct and acceptable type of question: "I do not quite understand [insert aspect of what was said here; using quote from the message of the person you are questioning]. Could you extrapolate upon it further?"

Wrong type of question: "You must accept [insert deity or belief system here] into your life! Why have you been following an incorrect religion. The [insert theological text here] says that you are spiritually misguided."

Do we understand those simple rules? Let me give another quick overview of what I mean:

1) Use quotes from the persons quotes when asking a question (the question should be specific to the post).

2) You have no right, in this thread, to tell another that they are wrong in their beliefs.

3) You are not to goad someone into a debate on the validity of any aspect of what they post.

4) Do not attempt to convert or to preach your theology on others.

5) Have some respect for others. They may not share your views but that does not make them wrong.

6) Don't be a jackass.

Now, lets play nice and here what you all have to say.

PODcast on some my beliefs...

I believe...

I believe …

I believe that I am accountable for everything that occurs in my life.
I believe that lying is the greatest sin against myself.
I believe that happiness is a choice I make every day, not a goal.
I believe that Love is the single most powerful force in existence.
I believe that I have absolutely everything I need.
I believe that I’m a soul in possession of a mind and a body.
I believe that how I feel is always my responsibility.
I believe that if I Love, Love will come to me.
I believe that we are all one, connected by the bonds of Love.
I believe that my purpose here is to contribute to, rather than diminish, the goodwill that exists in the world.
I believe that respect is the most important foundation for a relationship of any kind.
I believe that death is nothing to fear.
I believe that two people can disagree and both be right.
I believe that everything is just exactly as it should be.
I believe that we always have a choice in any circumstance. All the choices might not be equally attractive, but we always have a choice.
I believe that the only think that I can control is me.
And I believe in infinite possibilities.

I also believe in life after death.

All I can say is that my sister, above, posted pretty much what I believe, too.

I can't think of anything to add.

Except maybe:

LOVE is ALL we need. (just to emphasize)

Wow, what do I believe.. What a question. How long do you have?

Well, first of all

I believe that there is a God of infinite knowledge and power
I believe that Jesus Christ was the SON of God
I believe that Christ, through his sacrifice, paved the way for all to enter heaven.
Death is not to be feared.
I do believe that reincarnation is just as a viable theory as any other when it comes to spiritual matters.
I believe that on the spiritual level, we all know the truth.
I believe that the world will be without end, per se.
I believe that a person is entitled to believe whatever he/she wishes as long as it is not an intrusion upon what another believes.

I can go on and on, but those are at the foundation of what I believe.

Well, as I am the creator of this thread I feel that I should take some initiative here and post my own beliefs.

I have neglected this thread for some time. Oh well, here goes:

What I believe.

I believe that...

...organized religion is not for me.
...organized religion is right for some.
...organized religion can be warped as a political and military tool; a calling for hatred and greed.
...leaders, not practitioners, warp religion in the aformentioned manner.
...there is something that I can not quite understand.
...our physical body is not the final step in our journey.
...the spirit/soul is a very powerful force which is not yet understood by most.
...I myself fall into that catagory.
...my spirituality is my own and may not be right for everyone.
...I deset people attempting to 'save' me.
...religious ignorance is appalling and far to 'mainstream'.

I will add more to the list in the coming days I am sure.

This is your chance to speak your mind without fear of criticism. Lets hear what you have to say.

I use the term "belief" loosely, since to really believe something I'd need concrete proof. Concerning such matters where proof is impossible to find, all I can do is consider the various possibilities and assume the most likely conclusion. That said, here are some of the conclusions I've come to.

> We're all of one spirit, simply living out different experiences.
> We're guided by destiny in this life.
> We created our own destiny before coming here (chose our parents, culture, etc.)
> Everything happens for a reason.
> Good and evil are merely concepts.
> God is all (existence itself), including us.

I believe in God.
I believe that Jesus was God in the flesh.
I believe He died for our sins.
I believe I am forgiven.
I believe that through Jesus I will have everlasting life.
I believe that what is to come will fulfill His promises in complete perfection and glory.

Ok, what i believe:

I believe that there is life after death .
I believe that god exists (obviously, look at my custom title).
I believe that the main view of god being all powerful to create the earth in 7 days and so on, is not the case.
I believe that people should be tolerate others beliefs, as I feel that most, if not all religions are ways of looking at the truth.
I believe that Jesus may have been the son of God (but more likely very enlightened).
I do not believe that hell is fire like it is portrayed by many to be. I believe it to be dark, cold lonely, probably with demons or something like that.
I believe most people who go to hell will eventually be forgiven. Exception in my mind for those who commit genocide or similar crimes.
I believe that there will be no tribulation like that in revelation, but if there were to be the rapture will not happen.

Thats all, if i think of any more I'll add them in another post.

Maybe we should vote you to be an honorary moderator for FST then.
