I know that RGB did not WANT to see Roe overturned. She wanted to see the states fortify abortion rights, and therefore, fortify the constitutional right to abortion, like say expanding the right through the 1st Amendment, the 2nd Amendment, the 4th Amendment, the 9th Amendment, the 13th Amendment and not placing the onus solely upon the 14th Amendment.

I feel like in cases like this. Jury Nullification needs to be more widely talked about. If we as a people feel that a law is unjust. Then people can nullify cases so that lawmakers have to revise laws that we don't agree with.

Roe actually set back ‘abortion rights’ decades.

LOL
No it didn't. Don't try to gaslight us.

RGB would agree and also that the states should have the power to legislate.

Just like states have the right to legislate around 2nd Amendment rights, or any other right.

Abortion isn't a right enshrined in the U.S. Constitution. The right to bear arms, literally the 2nd Amendment, is explicitly given. There is no right to have an abortion performed. Even the weak argument of Roe v. Wade was for an implicit right to medical privacy.

Once again, actual legislation is getting passed that is furthering the cause of Christian Nationalists. There's not much more they can achieve.

Quit with the buzzwords. It's not like there is a huge segment of the population that is Christian anymore. Religion is a dying institution in the US. Ohh I get it you're spouting government approved conspiracy theories, all vetted by the think-tanks in DC.

What archaic laws is Trump being charged with?

Crimes he didn't actually commit obviously. Charges brought against Trump by people being caught themselves for all kinds of crimes, even felonies. These scum sucking criminals are currently using "reconstruction era" laws against Trump for some of the charges.

Criminals in government currently prosecuting the law abiding, and avoiding prosecution themselves by being on the left and against Trump is their current goto stay out of jail free card.

Everyone in the world knows this and sees it. I feel sorry for anyone in your sphere of living space.

Of course Christian Nationalism and Dominionism has everything to do with the anti-choice movement! Next up is contraception and same sex marriage.

There is no right to abortion. Throwing the 9th amendment around doesn't change the fact that there is no right to terminate the life of an innocent human being for matters of convenience. RvW was built on a lie, and the overturning of RvW didn't eliminate your right to privacy.

You're not pro choice. You're pro murder of innocent children for matters of convenience. You're pro face no consequences for bad decisions. If you think the only reason that a person could have for even considering being against abortion is due to religion or wanting to control a womans body then you're an idiot. It doesn't take God or misogyny to determine that killing an unborn child because you can't face the consequences of your choices is just a bad thing to do.

All the more reason Christian Nationalists have worked so hard to get people in positions of power. They want to use the government to keep their status quo they see slipping away.

There is no right to abortion.

Of course there is. It's just about as an inalienable a right as having sex and eating.

And, every time abortion has been on the ballot since the constitutional right was ripped from women with the religiously based Dobbs decision, abortion rights win. The people choose to protect the right to abortion every time!

So get it passed as an amendment then if you’re so sure it’s a right that everyone’s on board with.
We shall see if you’re correct.

Good luck🤣

You will eat those words. You MAGA folk can never accept reality and just continue to live in your fantasy world.
Truly sad but you did this to yourself and I feel absolutely no remorse for you or anyone else that thinks in such ways.
Reality may suck but it's far better then thinking the world will bend to your will when infact that will never happen.
But good luck going forward.

A mass movement like that might require Jury Coaching? And Jury Selection could be tinkered too. 😬

It's a mystery why Democrat power Congresses that had the power many times didn't codify?? 💲

What difference would it have made. Congress codified civil rights in the Voting Rights Act, and SCOTUS gutted that act, and continues to gut it, piece by piece.

Congress has codified same sex marriage, but if SCOTUS rules it not a constitutional/federal matter, then it doesn't matter what Congress did. States can refuse to allow marriage licenses and refuse to recognize marriages from other states as valid.

There is no amendment needed. Abortion is already constitutionaly covered under the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 9th, 13th and the 14th Amendment, The people just need to adjust/reform the court and the cases that they're willing to take. It's just a matter of time, and not that much time, either, in my opinion.

So let me get this straight,
You believe that the first amendment(freedom of/from religion, free speech, freedom of the press, petition of government for redress of grievances, and peaceful assembly),
the second amendment(the right of the people to keep and bear arms),
the fourth amendment(security of persons, houses, papers, and affects against unreasonable search and seizure),
the ninth amendment(lack of enumeration of a right does not deny or disparage that right to the people),
the thirteenth amendment(abolition of slavery),
and the fourteenth amendment(protection from deprivation of life liberty or property without due process of law, guarantee of equal protection of law, and prevention of the creation of laws that abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens),
somehow cover a right to abortion?

Murdering your unborn child is peaceful assembly? Murdering your child is free speech? Murdering your child is redress of grievance?
Murdering your unborn child is bearing arms?
Murdering your child is security of your person against search or seizure?
Murdering your child is an unenumerated right?
Murdering your child is proof that you're not a slave?
Murdering your child is the protection of life, liberty, and property? Murdering your child is equal protection of law? Murdering your child prevents the creation of laws that abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the USA?

The 14th amendment alone invalidates the notion of a right to abortion for reasons of convenience. "Nor shall any state deprive any person of LIFE....". And before you come in with some "that only prevents states from doing it", the same amendment ends with "nor deny to any PERSON within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws". Last I checked, we have laws against the taking of innocent life.

Calling something a right doesn't make it a right. Calling something a right doesn't make the ninth amendment jump in and protect it. Food is not a right. Housing is not a right. Healthcare is not a right. Jobs are not a right. Abortion is not a right.
