I don't know what some say nor do I care.
Maybe he feels the need to have his government do the parenting. Therfore seemingly saying that parents don't know what's best for the kids.
It doesn't seem like he thinks too highly of his state in regards to parenting.
If I had children you better be damn sure I would be very aware of what my children are reading. And I would be extremely irritated about a governor overstepping and therefore determining what is best for my child.
I don't understand why that doesn't bother the party of less government. That should piss you off but you support it oddly....

Excellent point as I agree with your post it's buzzwords but he seems to have his finger on the pulse of America from an outsider perspective.

To me woke means when inclusivity and equality movements designed to create a level playing field go too far and provide false advantage to minority groups.

Everyone will have a different definition though and the danger is he will expand his 'don't say gay' policy and target minority groups and remove their rights.

It's already gone too far when classic works of art and history and culture can't be taught in schools as it is seen as woke and pornographic to show students statues or mention Roman or Greek orgies.

I'm disabled myself due to epillepsy and find it really patronising when people say mind meld rather than brainstorm as I don't get offended easilly and prefer it when people take the piss out of my disability as it makes me feel 'normal' and is my personal coping mechanism.

So, a potential US President doesn't think he - or anyone else - should be concerned at all about social injustice or the persecution of any person or persons whatsoever, and that those who are so concerned are wrong and need to be "defeated".

What does that say about De Santis and those who support him?

Allegedly he laughed at Guantanamo prisoners when they were being tortured and used false confessions extracted via wateroarding and force feeding in prosecution. He was meant to be in charge of ensuring guards followed the law and detainees had human rights respected which obviously never happened.

He's also meant to be responsible for at least three murderss and the cover up there of Ali Abdullah Ahmed, Mani Shaman Al-Utaybi and Yasser Talal Al-Zahrani who were murdered by cloths stuffed down their neck and ligatures used to strangle them - DeSantis claimed they all did it to themselves in a suicide attempt despite their wrists and feet being shackled and their fingerprints being absent from the alleged suicide notes.

Many Guantanamo prisoners were completely innocent people who were falslely captured as the US offered huge bounties to Afghans if they rounded up anyone vaguely Arabic looking.

The US was well aware of the rounding up of innocents but kept them imprisoned and tortured to try and save face - he should have to release full records of his time there before he can become President as there's a lot of crimes against humanity that went on there.

Ive heard this excuse for 50 years. While society gets more and more a bad influence on kids. At this point you have to keep them out of public school and locked in the attic to keep their innocence from being robbed by more and more public sexual perversion. And the internet. How to keep them off the net when its provided in school. oh yeah, public school. A dangerous insane asylum compared to when I was in school. But BOTH parents have to work now to keep food on the table. And make sure to monitor those influences on your children, you parents out there!

Society needs to quit making good parenting harder and harder to manage. Quit with all the ugly influences!

Exactly, he's you're typical politician that uses wedge issues and buzz words to gain attention and popularity without actually providing any strategy for real change.

I say allegedly as I think such accounts should be taken with major grain of salt and I don't think it's possiblefor the human brain to remember in such detail the traumatic events claimed as they're designed to break human psyche - the claims of vomiting in his face seem faciful and questionable at best.

Let me see if I understand what your comment was saying, because the two comments seem odd together. In one, you are saying that RDS is a bad man and there is unbiased evidence of this. And that it is reasonable to criticize and be cautious of him. When I ask for facts instead of biased tales of woe and horror, then you say you don't believe the stories? Which is it?

Keep in mind, the source are people that we cant close Guantanamo, even tho' it's been promised since Obama, because the home countries wont take them back.

If I thought they were factual accounts I wouldn't have used the word 'allegedly'. I'm simply stating such allegationss have been made, whether they're true or not remains to be seen.

You asked for a source for the allegations and I provided it, you didn't assk for facts and unbiased tales - I tried to make it clear these were allegations and biased tales in my posts, hence using the word allegedlty and calling for the full facts to be declasified.

As I said in my original posts there's allegations of him being complicit and present in torture (official record backs up he was at GITMO in JTF-GITMO Staff Judge Advocate on the dates claimed - the full his role there should be declassified in the pubic interest when running for President.

Normally if people don't believe something being said about someone they support, they mention it only to debunk it, or some other way such as saying they don't believe it when they repeat the story.
