As part of the Welsh government's universal basic income trial young Asylum Seekers who are leaving care are to be given £1,600 a month Basic Income , they also requested that the Asylum Seekers should be allowed to receive free legal aid which the British government have rejected .... which has upspet the Welsh Labour government.

The Welsh government plans to include asylum seekers as part of its basic income pilot for care leavers.

This is a two-year trial scheme which pays £1,600 a month (£1,280 after tax) to individuals who turn 18 and leave the care system between 1 July 2022 and 30 June 2023.

The government in Wales had sent a letter to the government in Westminster with concerns that taking part in the pilot may impact on young people seeking asylum's eligibility for free legal aid.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has accused the Welsh government of "paying" for small boats to cross the Channel and said the move could incentivise people smuggling.

The Welsh government says it is "disappointing" that "inaccurate and misleading claims" are being made.

They should tie the UBI to learning fluent Welsh. There'd be no payouts.

Wales is suddenly gonna have a lot more totally unemployed, idle, easily radicalized (be that muslim, communist, Marxist liberal, or simple lazyass), and I’m sure the people going to bend steel, pour concrete, teach a bunch of brat know-nothings, wait tables, you name it, are gonna be so happy to see all the people who aren’t even a part of their ancient nation, being put up in free homes and given ample spending money to live thee most luxurious life any of them will have ever imagined. Slave away Cyrmu…cymrllllull, lllclymlrllul, or whatever Wales is, I forget. Gotta pay tax to take care of those people who hate you, imprison and control their women, and simply don’t care to work when on a lifelong free vacation.

It's a perverse sickness that a government would want to pay migrants not to work , house them and give them free legal representation while their own people live on the streets with no voice or representation ... Vote Labour !

Anybody walking the streets of our cities and towns can’t fail to notice how many people are bedding down in the open air.

Evidence suggests there has been an increase in people sleeping rough of 10 per cent in the space of a year, on top of a 30 per cent increase the previous year.

Why are the numbers of people sleeping rough increasing year on year? What are the factors that are keeping people on the streets – and how can we overcome them?

evil is evil.

here in the USA, we used to have a monument with the evil plan carved into rock in several languages.
The #GeorgiaGuidestones ... and the surrounding ones upon the ground. Someone blew it up and bulldozed the site.

they just want the more righteous amongst us to do the megadeath across this otherwise beautiful planet.

to hell with the synagogue of Satan.

Cool , but what does that have to do with the Welsh government giving free money to migrants ?

Legal Aid aside , this is at the heart a confused, potentialy illeagal and inciteful call on the part of the Welsh.

Is the Welsh game plan here to stop illeagals landing in England being dumped in Wales?

The benefits of devolution.

Who pays for this?
Welsh taxpayers or Westminster?

Good question , I had a look and it seems a mix of both mate ,
"Every time the UK Government decides to spend money on something in England which is devolved to Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland it applies the Barnett formula to work out an amount to give to those nations. Wales roughly gets 5% of the amount spent in England"

So the Barnett formula plus taxes , so 5% of the 100 bn HS2 vanity project for one.
