It does state that right before he went to sleep he was lifting weights, then woke up to exploded balls as he calls it.
But they didn't literally explode, it sounds like they were just swollen. I doubt there was any blood or mess like truly exploded balls, like an explosive was detonated underneath the scrotum.
There could be a lot of reasons for this other than being vaccinated, you know. He had just lifted weights, maybe he rubbed them the wrong way. I think it's cute that Gateway Pundit adds that everyone has to be vaccinated at that college and mentions Minaj's old tweet. Definitively steers the narrative directly to being vaccinated as the cause of the injury without a shred of supporting evidence.
"The anti-vaxxers will love this, they'll share it all over social media, tons of traffic for advertisement revenue."
And here we are, except they didn't even pay the OP or anyone else for making them money. At least it's a fun topic and people enjoyed it.
Testicular torsion
Main Results
Description
A twisting of the male organ that makes hormones and sperm (testicle).
When the testicle rotates (testicular torsion), it twists the cord supplying blood to the loose bag of skin (scrotum) beneath the penis. This may occur after vigorous activity, a minor injury to the testicles, or sleep.

but it still just limits the severity for some
What makes you believe that? I remember before the vax half the cases were asymptomatic and most of them were asymptomatic SUPER SPREADERS.
It has 0 benefits.
Spermatic cord torsion is usually an abrupt event. The key warning sign is sudden, severe testicular pain, followed by swelling and hardening of the testicle.
Abstract
Individuals involved in sports are at risk for sustaining various injuries. In addition to musculoskeletal complaints, male athletes are at risk of incurring testicular injuries. These issues can range from an acute emergency such as testicular torsion to indolent testicular tumors. In contrast, epididymitis can present in stages. Presentation and management of testicular complaints can vary depending on the condition. Physicians who provide medical care to athletes need to be competent in diagnosing and managing testicular injuries.
