Russia has Tank factories. Russia isn’t some small Caribbean island or something.

Clear recent photos of new mobilization. Also Ukrainian sources etc confirming movement across the border and in Belarus etc.

Even if we think Russia is weakened, they still have a lot of capability and natural resources to support a long duration war.

The constant disinfo gets old.

Like people harping daily for months about Russia running out of missiles etc.

Then we get these weekly footages/updates from Ukraine about their electricity getting knocked out. Having to conserve energy and be in black out at times throughout the day/night.

I get it though if you’re Ukrainian. But even then I wouldn’t be going around daily underestimating it.

It’s better seeing it from both sides and there you’ll get a better picture on the situation instead of just one side obviously.

Are you saying they have more than one tank factory? I only know about Uralvagonzavod.

That one is their tank production facility. They have other defense related factories, but those produce other products for the Russian military.

UK to send Challenger 2 Tanks to Ukraine.

Britain has not yet officially confirmed the number of tanks it will be sending to Ukraine, but it’s believed to be about a dozen Challenger 2’s

This is great news. The Challenger 2 tank is the Apache of tanks, up there with the best tanks in the word next to the Leopard 2. I'm surprised the UK would give such a highly sophisticated tech and equipment to Ukrainian forces such as this. Put it this way this is the main battle tank in the British Army and only one has been destroyed in combat.

This is a game changer and I doubt any Russian tank could out compete these tanks.

Bet the Russian's will be desperate to capture a Challenger 2 and share it's remains with China

Has the ground frozen yet btw? Eastern Ukraine is slightly below freezing right now but it will warm up soon.

Let hope the Ukrainians are trained well enough to operate her and not get captured.

Haha yes deviant300
and the cynic in me says "don't worry about the tankers and training, they are British lads inside." Wouldn't surprise me if there tanks are operated by the British.

They may be. That the West is willing to give Ukraine Chall-2's and Leo-2's makes me wonder if they've found something better to kill tanks than another tank.

Bit of new snow south of Kharkiv and in the Donbas. Not been that cold there yet, the frozen crust may not support heavy vehicles.

I think the donating of tanks to Ukraine takes us to another level of danger , it should be seen as an escalation and a signal of intent I think and a reason not to be cheerful.... part 3.

I support Ukraine, but thinking about it, it does amount to an escalation which could indeed be dangerous.

They will be as good as Brits (if not Brits) as they've been trained up by Ben Wallace every year since 2014.

Yes it does make more sense
and in many ways tanks are yesterdays tool, yet on the eastern front who knows. Surely the Ukrainian's need hundreds of tanks to make a real difference. This has got to be symbolic. During the 2nd lebanon war the Israeli Merkava tanks supposedly cutting edge at that time performed very badly due to Russian supplied anti tank weapons. Where are these Russian anti tank weapons now? Why can Ukraine advance with tanks when the proven tech is out there? Something doesn't make sense here.
