Oh I'm sure they are keeping logs of rounds fired and where they land. Problem is the rounds they are using are inconsistent as north Korea doesn't have exacting standards on their munitions. So you really never know what your going g to get until they fire the round.

17 March Update

Sources in the SBU told Ukrainian outlet Suspilne that the Ukrainian SBU, SOF, and Unmanned Systems Forces struck the crude oil atmospheric distillation columns of the Slavyansk oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban, Krasnodar Krai, resulting in a large fire.

Transnistrian outlets claimed on March 17 that a single drone struck a helicopter on the territory of an unspecified military unit in Transnistria, posted video footage of the moment of the drone strike, and alleged that the drone flew from the direction of Odesa Oblast.

The all-Russian pro-Ukrainian Freedom of Russia Legion (LSR) and Siberian Battalion claimed on March 17 that their forces entered the Gorkovsky border settlement in Belgorod Oblast and seized the settlement’s administration building.

A Ukrainian strike campaign has forced the Black Sea Fleet (BSF) to redeploy the majority of its naval assets away from its main base in Sevastopol to smaller and less capable bases in Novorossiysk and elsewhere, and the Ukrainian Armed Forces Center for Strategic Communications (StratCom) reported that Ukrainian strikes have disabled roughly 33 percent of the BSF’s warships as of early February 2024, including 24 ships and one submarine.

Russian forces recently made confirmed advances near Avdiivka and Donetsk City.

I thought that was an interesting chart, showing there are more to attack.

This is an interesting map, showing at least 3 of those refineries are beyond the maximum range of Ukraine's latest long-range drones (see the 3 to the right of the dotted arcs). But there are still more refineries within the range of Ukraine's drones that haven't been attacked yet, shown in gray. The refineries already attacked are shown in red, one of them slightly outside the largest dotted arc:

There may be more to the east, but I think the majority of the Russian refineries are on that map in West Russia, nearer to the population centers.

Apparently, Putin won his ""election"" with 87% if you can believe that.
Denys said he doesn't believe 87%, but he does think Putin has support of the majority of Russians, maybe 60-70% was his guess, but with no Navalny (who lots of people think was killed) or anti-war candidates on the ballot (who were disqualified due to alleged paperwork anomalies), they didn't have viable alternatives to Putin. Still, you can see a video of ballot boxes being stuffed, and they didn't even try to hide it, so that along with shenanigans for the online voting ensured the 60% or whatever grew to 87%.

The clip of the ballot boxes being stuffed starts around 11:31 in this video by Jake Broe:

Russian Election MADNESS Happening NOW

11:31
this is polling location 912 in the Novagarod region. The polls closed at 8, and by 8:20 you can see through the window, the poll workers shoving in more ballots into the boxes. The lights are on, the blinds are up, these people aren't even trying to hide it. They're just doing what they're told to do.

So I already know the election results.

That's pretty blatant, but it won't get circulated on Russian state media.

I imagine this ballot box stuffing technique can also come in handy when voting on the annexation of territories that formerly belonged to other countries!

Hitting oil refinerys help , but i think that hitting Russian power grid woud actually cause more trouble to Russia than attacks to oil refinerys. Russians has been attacking Ukrainanian power grid many times , so why not do the same ?

I think because it can be argued that the military equipment like tanks, armored personnel carriers, aircraft, etc runs on the refined products coming out of the refineries, so that makes the refineries military targets.

Ukraine complained when their electic grid was attacked that it was civilian infrastructure. In fact Russia strikes a lot of civilian targets, killing over 10,000 civilians just in Mariupol alone. So I think it would not be a good look for Ukraine to stoop to Russia's level and attack what they have claimed are civilian targets, just because Russia has stooped to that level. Russia is already having problems with its citizens freezing in some areas due to failing civilian infrastructure even without Ukraine attacking it. The money that was supposed to go for maintenance of those Russian heating systems is being spent on the war instead, and that's not the only part of the Russian economy that's suffering because of expenditures on the war effort.

Yeeh good point , i am not sure does the refineries have own power source in Russia....if not , hits to power grid would then shut down also refineries .

Russia is all set to use 1.5-tonne FAB-1500 bombs against Ukraine, both army and civilians.....that`s insane size boom ....so if Russia is dropping those in to Ukrainians , i would say hit them ,even power grid....

Let's not forget that lack of fuel was one of the realities the German's faced in WWII and it seriously hampered their tactics. The loss of Russian oil refineries, in the conflict with Ukraine, may not show an immediate result, but in the long run we will see a supply shortage which should seriously modify Russian war tactics.

German access to oil had been seriously impaired - and the results were devastating.

The Luftwaffe, Germany’s mighty air force, was grounded. Panzer divisions couldn’t maneuver for fear of using up precious oil. German army units lacked mobility and couldn’t respond quickly when the Allied armies arrived on the shores of Normandy. Lack of fuel crippled the German army.

Good point , hopefully this tactic works . The situation is difficult now for Ukraine , the long this war last, the more Ukrainians die .

Yes those are monster sized bombs.
The F-16s aren't enough to turn the tide of the war, but they should be able to make a dent in Russia's aviation, and thus the aviation bombs. But it seems like it's taking forever for Ukraine to receive the F-16s.

Russia Is Glide-Bombing Ukraine With Impunity. Ukraine’s New F-16s Could Change That.

Current Ukrainian fighters are powerless to stop the glide-bombers. Future Ukrainian fighters—F-16s to start with—should be able to strike back.

Which is why the waffling about whether or not we should give them to them was so stupid. We ended up caving and sending them, so we should've got the ball rolling sooner rather than later.

18 March Update

Putin admitted that the all-Russian pro-Ukrainian volunteer forces are comprised of Russian citizens amid the continuation of cross-border raids into Belgorod Oblast on March 18.

Russian forces recently made a marginal confirmed advance in western Zaporizhia Oblast.

Russian soldiers boast of blowing up Putin's ammunition depot as war spills onto Russian territory

A legion of Russian volunteers fighting for Ukraine has destroyed an arms depot in a Russian border town, the group has said on social media.

The footage, posted by the Freedom of Russia Legion online, shows smoke rising from a warehouse in Tetkino in Russia's Kursk Oblast, next to its border with Ukraine.

A small explosion in the depot then sends dust flying, before a fire breaks out in the building's rafters - seconds later, ammunition apparently stored in the depot explodes, hollowing out the structure as plumes of black smoke billow out.

Posting on social media, the group said they had "destroyed Putin's army ammunition depot in Tetkino" and there was "more to come".

The Russian saboteurs continue to wreak havoc on Putin's supplies.

Or perhaps they just got too wild while celebrating the election...probably not.

Airbase housing Putin's prized £130m supersonic Blackjack bombers deep inside Russian territory 'is struck by Ukrainian kamikaze drones'

Ukraine hit a key Russian airbase used for nuclear bombers in an overnight kamikaze drone strike as part of a consolidated aerial bombardment of several border regions.

The 'explosions and fire' at the airbase came as pro-Putin sources also accused Kyiv of targeting a nuclear power plant in Kursk region.

Explosions were heard at Engels air base in the Saratov region, home of Vladimir Putin's Tu-160 'Blackjack', Tu-95 'Bear' and Tu-22 strike aircraft, late last night.

All of these planes are capable of carrying nuclear missiles but have been used to strike Ukraine with conventional bombs throughout the past two years of war.

That was money well-spent on those single-use drones. Not only is Russia hurting economically, but they are rapidly losing equipment as well.

19 March Update

The Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) informed Russian Ambassador to Moldova Oleg Vasnetsov that the Moldovan government is expelling an unspecified Russian diplomat in connection with their organization of polling stations in Transnistria for the Russian presidential elections despite the lack of official Moldovan consent.

EU High Commissioner Josep Borrell stated that the EU should transfer 90 percent of Russian frozen asset revenue to an EU-run fund to finance security assistance for Ukraine and that he will submit a formal proposal for this mechanism to EU member states on March 20.

The Russian military confirmed that Northern Fleet Commander Admiral Alexander Moiseev replaced Admiral Nikolai Yevmenov as acting Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy.

Russian forces recently made a confirmed advance near Avdiivka on March 19.
