While many people are role playing their fantasy lives, pretending that nothing is wrong, or focusing on the latest mainstream media distraction, the economy is on the verge of a collapse that will make the great depression look like a small hiccup. That's because we have the makings of a perfect storm of economic destruction. So much so that former blackrock associate turned champion of the people, Ed Down see's us being forced to change to a new monetary system. And would would that monetary system be? Central bank digital currency of course.

We are on the verge of hyperinflation but the only solution is to print more money, leading to more hyperinflation. The supply chain quickly collapsing and we are going to see food shortages this year. The "green energy deal" is bankrupting companies and doing the opposite of what it promised to do, and assets are losing value at a rapid pace. The dow jones is down 14% on the year, but many predict it could much lower. Cryptocurrency crashed recently, cutting the value of bitcoin in half from it's all time high. Even the stable coin tether which is supposed to be backed by USD crashed for a small period of time. On top of this it is predicted that the housing market is overvalued and on the verge of a huge collapse.

It's almost as if some sort of reset is happening. Like a great kind of reset?

The feds have been fighting deflation since the tech bubble burst and that’s what they’ve been doing. It’s a disaster. And they’ve gotten to the point where the tyranny of the bond math is such that they can’t raise interest rates without collapsing the whole system.

Let me say this a different way. We’ve propped up assets. This is what Obama did with the financial market crash. Right? So you have asset deflation at the same time you have runaway, maybe even getting to hyperinflation. At least, inflation out of control. On top of a China supply chain collapse that’s been brought about over policies over 40 years. And on top of it you have this radical green new deal thing that they’ve killed energy. Those four converging forces are what is making this unique… The scale of this problem has never been addressed anywhere. This is going to make 1932 look like a church picnic.

I think you’re going to see the long bonds start to come in yield-wise up in price. That will be the first indication that the economy is starting to really collapse. Then short term interest rates will follow after that. The Fed will jump in saying they’re fighting inflation and maybe raise rates one or two more times… They can’t raise rates. They’re trapped. And that’s why a new monetary system is coming.

"The sky is falling!"

"The sky is falling!"

That may be true, it may not, but for today, I'm just going to enjoy the sultry warm weather and we're having BBQ steak for dinner.

Followed by a horror movie and a good night's sleep.

Doom and gloom? Perhaps. Just not today.

We will be alright in the long run, our ancestors made it through the "Great depression" that lasted from 1929, through 1939. Just don't jump out of a highrise building's windows 👍

He only disagrees because Uncle Joe is in power, so of course, nothing bad will happen. If BAD ORANGE MAN were still there, he would be all over you in agreement. They write his posts for him you know.

What are the signs that "hyperinflation" is incoming?

What do we look for in addition to what most people are viewing as "manageable" inflation at the moment?

It would be terribly inconvenient if someone mistakenly interpreted this public platform as an opportunity to respond to content they have just read and feel a particular way about, disagreement or not. Why can't people just keep their ideas to themselves and be quiet.

The "Global Meltdown" forum is littered with year after year after year of economic doom porn .... Dyer predictions of economic melt down predate the internet.

What's different today than in the past?

Thats not to say their won't be recessions and much less frequently depressions. And people should always be prepared for lean times.

Buy the chicken little addetude just waist the good times ahead.

BBQ and a beer sounds good. Its way hot outside, im sweeting my pig pongs off setting up the kids pool.

Global vampire corporatocracy was left to run rampant and unregulated. the end result was inevitable and people tried to warn everyone for decades.

Now there is an everything bubble, everywhere in the world.

Invest in hand grenades today I reckon. If you own a motorbike jury rig some form of flamethrower to it as well. Don't forget the spiked helmet and hittin' chain.

Some here just can't stand it that you continue to post here Middie. They believe they got you pegged.

I see your post here as I think you intended it. We have, those of us who have been paying attention to this kind of stuff for one, two, three, four, five, six decades, understand that we have for at least half a century been on the brink and that forecasters of future events have seen this all coming in one form or another all along.

So sure, this may or may not be the moment when the listing ship of the capitalist state finally tips beyond and ability to right itself. And what the hell are ANY of us going to go about it but scream. You? Have your BBQ and steak cuz why not. Me? Continue vacuuming the winter cobwebs from the walls and eves of our summer sun room so that our summer visitors can hang out there with out spiders dropping on them.

So it's off for me and back to work outside after which I will take a nap and get ready for the Heat and Celtics (1 -1) tonight and the Warriors and Mavericks (2-0) tomorrow night. This may or may not be the last NBA play off series of Western Civilization so you can bet your sweet bippie I ain't gonna miss it crying and screaming over which of the last two failed presidencies in a long long line of failed presidencies caused it to happen.

Enjoy your steak.

So..... they are going to go door to door and take all my 4000 100$ dollar bills that I keep my mattress stuffed with then ? And the Central bank digital currency (CBDC) would not be very effective in the aftermath of this silly prediction. I get what you are saying and yea we may be in trouble soon but there is also that saying about best laid plans. I can see why people would rather go golfing or whatever instead of thinking about things like this. The controllers like to play god and well... lets see how that goes for them I guess. I think that we may all be surprised again. Predicting the future is like a poker game and most of the chips are on the table. Take that as you will I guess but I still hope that you are wrong.

They don't have to, they'll just make a roll of TP cost $4000, then you'll get to wipe your ass with your life savings
