I had no idea about this stuff until about a week before the invasion a friend from Czokoslavakia made a video explaining the current tensions and I started researching. I archived a few things like some links on Wiki. That page has gone through so many edits since I don't even recognize it.

The Azov was bad enough but the Hitler youth camps were what struck me and they hold them all over the country each year.

In the second video he names Ihor Kolomoyskyi. If you look into him he is the closest I have ever seen to a movie villain. If Zelensky is a puppet then he is the puppeteer. Zelensky's family left for Switzerland which is where Ihor is. As hostages maybe? I have no doubt that there are Avov working right now as Zeneky's "protection."

Asov has stated publicly that they will kill Zelensky if he gives up territories and that was before the war. He once went to Donbas to put an end to the fighting and Azov or one of their splinter groups told him to F off if he didn't want to die. That is on video. I didn't download it at the time and I am still searching for it.

Then there are the Panama papers saying Zelensky has 1.3 billion in Costa Rica bank accounts. Several other things. At some point, I am going to compile it all and make one big thread.

Putin himself said that thousands and thousands and thousands of ethnic Russians had been systematically killed over an eight-year period by Nazis. There are Nazis (in Ukrainian uniforms) carrying out military activities in the two regions he mentioned. Ain't nobody denying it.

Putin could have invaded The Ukraine anytime he wanted ... but, he waited until now. If I had one question answered it would be, "What's the list of reasons you went in when you did ... and not before?"

What a guy, allowing thousands and thousands of ethnic Russians to be killed unprovoked (sarcasm) for eight years when he could have invaded anytime he wanted.

And what a guy, killing civilians all the # over Ukraine when he claims he wants to take the eastern regions and protect the Russians there.

Only Putin knows why he went in when he did. But it's pretty clear that what he really wants is access to the Black Sea and Ukraine back under Russia.

Truth be told you couldn't tell a Russian from a Ukrainian. Ukrainians can and do speak Russian often families are mixed with Russians and Ukrainians for example I have relatives in both countries. So arguing that Ukrainians were somehow trying to kill all the Ukrainians with Russian heritage is stupid its easily over half the country. And there is no way to know who is who. What really happened is Russia is paying people to attack Ukraine the DPR is directly funded and supported by Russia. Russian separatists make up about 12 percent of the population in the disputed area however they have the weapons and they want Ukraine to join Russia. So a small percentage of the population is trying to force Ukaininians to join Russia.

Get outside the disputed areas and that 12 percent drops down to about 2 percent with overwhelming support for the Ukrainian government. As you can tell as they repel the Russian invaders.

when an invader commit war crimes, use cluster bombs and kill your love ones, won't you do the same to them in the video? Shoot the knee to ensure they won't run and return to the fight (see what happen to showing mercy in Saving Private Ryan). Russia needs a regime change. Did anyone translate the conversations? Victors of war usually get away with war crime? Did USA get away with nuclear bombs on Japan?

Not really new ground though. I remember a video in which a Syrian rebel was eating the heart of an enemy soldier from the Assad regime (after capture). Not an ISIS rebel either, but the same group of so-called freedom fighters that were getting support and military supplies from the West (FSA if I remember correctly).

If someone invaded the US, I likely would do worse. No international convention covers war crimes committed by the people defending their homeland. So they are not war crimes

First, the rules covering types of ammo would go out the window.

I only have a few boxes of military ball ammo. But i have a couple of cases of hollow point hunting ammo.

I also would have no problem knee capping enemy troops and leaving them for the enemy to care for, knowing they will never return to combat. And use up medical care of the enemy forces.

I remember the USA using cluster bombs and women and children dying. What does that make us?

Thank you for the information and I'll keep it in mind... but everything you've said could be the God's honest truth... or not... and I have absolutely no way of knowing. I seriously doubt though that anyone thinks all of Ukraine will ever be part of Russia again. At most, it seems that some/many (and Putin) want the Dunbas regions to be independent republics albeit allies with Russia.

As far as why Putin moved in when he did, I've only related what I had heard pertinent to the other poster's question. And, as I noted, much like the information you shared, I have no way to confirm or debunk any of it.

My hopes are in the ceasefire talks.

Exactly. On the contrary, ukrainian forces give mercy to the russians who give up. With one exclusion. I don't think they keep alive captured russian airforce pilots, who actually have targeted civilian houses, hospitals etc.

Plus russian army are intentionally killing civilians and literally destroying cities like they know, they will never have them in control (they will never be supported by ukrainian people, they only can try to fake support by killing cities leaders, putting their own leaders there, falsify election results, forcibly transporting civilians like elderlies and other to Russia by 'humanitarian coridors' against their will and flooding in their lowest cast undeducated occupants from russian country... History repeats, they did the same in Soviet Union contries and now in recent Ukrainian occupied territories like Crimea and Donbas regions).

Only bright thing there is that EU countries, USA and NATO are helping Ukraine, incuding weapons, each day more and more and slowly but steady Ukrainian forces are weakening russian army and Russian country as such as the day passes are going into deeper and deeper # and I would like to say, partly deserved because of their ignorance and supporting government actions... Russia will never be the same again. Best case scenario is that Russia will be divided into smaller regions and republics all over the 'mother russia' country...
