Yeah, but I was asking for it.

Yes we should not forget the Democrat howling. However we should also not forget the howling of the Republican Senate to not even consider Obama's nomination of Garland a full eight months before elections yet had the temerity to turn around and rapidly push though Trump's nominee Barret though the Senate on a fast moving locomotive while presidential elections were already underway.

It's WAR. That's what happens during war.

Dems have a bad habit of not seeing past the end of their nose.

Big deal

Assuming we can’t obstruct his appointment like we did with Garland, a liberal justice will replace another liberal justice. So the ideology of the court won’t be affected.

With a little luck, we can stall the confirmation. Trump may end up with a 4th appointment 😁

The way Garland has behaved as AG, I dare say the Republicans were right to block him. The DOJ and the FBI have been completely politicized.

The ironic part is they will drop everything they have been saying is so important, for this till it's done.

BTW did Justice Breyer vote the party line or were they indeed honorable

Now it's time for Dems to hypocritically argue that it's 100% OK to nominate and confirm a SCOTUS justice before an election that could result in a change of which party controls Congress.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I mean, the Court still remains unchanged, a Dem for a Dem.

I'll be sweating bullets if it was one of Trumps picks, but those folks are pretty young still.

So, basically they can use this as a "positive Optic", seeing as how everything else has failed for the Biden administration.

What's so sad is the left bullied this Justice into retirement, hell they were calling for his retirement and or resignation shortly after the Biden was inuagerated.

Tsk tsk, fowl things are afoot.

Yes, many feel this way. However the point was that the Republican Senate would not even consider Garlands merits (see what I did there ?), they outright dismissed an Obama nominee on the basis that it was to close to an election....

Yes though I guess the point of my point was that it was said in the OP that the Dems were doing such and such while failing to point out that the Reps did the same thing, being politicians doing political things.

They do, but Sinema hasn't been red pilled any more than Manchin has just because leftists have no manners. If the nominee is comfortably left, both will likely have zero qualms voting to confirm particularly given the current makeup of the court.

Joe heard one of the Supremes was retiring and immediately asked if it was Diana Ross.

Garland makes zero sense at the moment. He is too useful of a tool. Kamala makes more. She is a political liability, is an attorney with supposed experience of note, and recommending her to SCOTUS would be a way to remove her while ostensibly rewarding her. Hence my earlier, deleted comment.

Perfecting Timing.

28th Democrat stating they are not running and retiring. Nancy saying she is coming back. 46 in the mid 30's and upside down in any poll there is.

This will be the next battle at home while the war starts overseas.

This year it will not be racist cops but White Supremacy in the US and a domestic terror event regarding a black and lesbian nominee.

Then when they lost the 2022 midterms it can all be about domestic terror and the agenda.
