You've got that exactly right. It's important to note that over 60% of the population of Afghanistan is under 25. Many of them simply don't remember what life was like under the Taliban because they were too young or simply weren't born yet when the Taliban was last in charge there.

I knew this BS in the middle east would flare up again as soon as Biden got back into real power. One of the primary reasons I supported Trump despite his massive ego was the fact he virtually eliminated ISIS in Syria and Iraq very rapidly, whereas the Obama-Biden admin officially supported the rebel opposition in Syria, despite it being obvious they fought along side ISIS and other terrorist groups to take down Assad. How out of your mind do you have to be to ask an Islamic extremist group to respect women's rights...

The Obama administration 2.0 is quite upset that Trump and Russia stomped the sh# out of ISIS, so the Taliban will make up for it. The Neocons are merely shifting gears.

Aiding and abetting the enemy by arming them to the teeth through sheer incompetence or purposeful intent is TREASON.

Our forces left so fast that I'm sure A LOT of service people we're like WTF. Granted, getting back home and leaving that hellhole is a godsend.

It'd be interesting if we have any active duty members to chime in on how they feel about it considering our forces abandoned over 10,000 Americans, (the State Department told them to shelter in place, can you believe that sh#??) plus the treasure trove of weapons and support vehicles left behind.

Not to mention the afghan president fleeing the country with 4 luxury vehicles and a helicopter FULL of cash...so much cash they had to leave quite a bit of it on the tarmac!!

They can object. They chose not to. They have had about 20 years to combat the talibans ideology with United States backing. Instead we kill a bunch of women and children, and thus perpetuate the cycle of said terrorist groups. How many are in the Afghan military? How many actively in the taliban currently in Afghanistan? If there’s more military, then they gave up their country willingly. If there’s more taliban, there’s more people that want a change in government. Either way, they want change, and who are we to say that they should not be allowed to try any form of government they as a country choose.

Obviously it’s apart of the United States corrupt plans. They don’t give a damn about anyone, including their own citizens. So why should I give a damn about Afghanistan, if giving a damn means more deaths to United States citizens, along with perpetual wars in the Middle East, along with raising conflicts with China, which will result in more unneeded deaths.

Seriously, explain to me why we need to spend more money and life on freeing a country that is not the United States. Why has my tax dollar gone to fund terrorism not only in the Middle East, but elsewhere in the world too.

We keep focusing on other countries as ours continues down this dystopian hole of BS. Fix the United States, then show the rest of the world how it’s done, how to achieve a truly free society.

This is going to cost us for decades. We armed the most radical group of Muslims you can find. They now have a secure area for training and I suspect they will start with Europe. I predict the next huge terrorist attack will be France or Italy. And they will have no option to retailiate.

I still think Pakistan first, then Iran, then they will make a noise at India. Two years from now, I expect they will be attacking israel and europe.

It's worth watching, if only to understand why beheadings, rapes, and other atrocities are being committed against Afghan citizens who assisted U.S. forces and U.S. contractors over the past 20 years. The Biden Administration has hung these friends of America, out to dry. Tens of thousands of them.

I wish I had something better to say.

It's going to get really ugly over there really soon, our current asshole (administration i suppose) and probably hundreds of shadow men need to all go away, perhaps they need dropped off there to see with their own eyes as they attempt to fend for their own lives.

Ouellette, United States Marine Corps, for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action against the enemy while serving as the 2nd Squad Leader, 1st Platoon, Company L, 3rd Battalion 8th Marines (Reinforced), Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force- Afghanistan in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. On 22 March 2009, Corporal Ouellette was leading his squad on a combat patrol in Nowzad District, Afghanistan, when an improvised explosive device exploded beneath his feet, severing his left leg and spraying him with shrapnel. Following the explosion, he directed his squad to prepare a hasty defense while helping to treat his own injuries. Moments later, enemy fighters opened fire on his squad with assault rifles and machine guns from point blank range. Even as a Corpsman worked to stem his massive bleeding, Corporal Ouellette continued to direct the fire of his squad. When attack helicopters arrived, he coolly talked his radio operator through the employment of the aircraft as they made repeated strafing runs within 20 meters of the squad's position. These expertly-applied fires suppressed the enemy long enough for a fire team to link up with reinforcements and bring them forward to Corporal Ouellette's position. He held that position and continued to give orders to his squad as they fought, allowing himself to be evacuated only when the entire squad was ready to move out of the area. He continued to give directions to his team leader up until he was loaded into an ambulance, where he soon lost consciousness. He later succumbed to his wounds. By his bold leadership, wise judgment, and complete dedication to duty, Corporal Ouellette reflected great credit upon himself and upheld the highest traditions of the Marine Corps and the United States Naval Service.

This Navy Cross citation was issued to an old and dear friend of mine Mikey (he hated being called mikey but used to Eff with him when he was a boot, had a joke going on about a poo poo monster too)

My friend took control of my fire team when I left that command and rose to the responsibility of squad leader not long after. His reinforced squad was reinforced with Afgani nationals and he lost his life trying to save all of his Marines and Brothers in arms. He spilled his blood there, he lost limbs there, he lost his life there fighting with these people. I am ashamed the government just turned their back on him, on so many other of my comrades and everyone there we swore to help. I am truly disgusted.

I wonder if these Taliban coup leaders know a MAGA hat is up on the shelf behind them, or even know what it signifies, for that matter?

In my country we actually have leaders of political parties saying that we cant be in a coalition with countries who just do whatever they want without even consorting with there "allies".
Iam suprised, cause not many years ago they where saying that if the USA told us to jump of a cliff, they would do it! (those who said that is not in goverment anymore lol, people voted them out after that)

I couldnt agree more, what is happening now in Afghanistan is horrible, and it is a decision made by the USA alone. Iam not suprised at all that none of the USA goverment wants to take responsibility and that they actually support the Taliban...
And iam also not gonna be suprised at all when the USA begins to lose its allies...

We already know that the Taliban is...

1. Incapable of organizing a "united" or "representative" government that's willing to "protect the rights" of the people.

2. Unwilling to protect the "rights of women and girls".

3. Are not capable of adhering to the demand not to "harbor terrorists" because they ARE the terrorists.

Will the Biden admin accept them anyway?
