I'm not a violent person, but when you allow fiery but mostly peaceful protests to go on all summer, you don't get to suddenly clutch your pearls now. You taught them all you know. Aren't you proud?

You must have a very bad memory then. I seem to remember plenty of macing and worse. Numerous protestors now suffer lifelong injuries because officers were shooting to maim with their "non-lethal" rounds. And all the Right did is laugh in glee.

Now the Right gets to experience being on the wrong end of the over militarized police they have championed for so long. I wonder if their tune will suddenly change about defunding the police.

When is violence acceptable? If not when you believe the United States is being overthrown then when? If you a a pacifist then fine. I can respect that but don’t pretend that wouldn’t rise to violence. If they were wearing Chinese military uniforms and taking over would you want violence? That is what has happened but they are wearing suits and ties.

But the fact remains, last year we watched multiple cities burn, while the media and Democrats pretended this was somehow OK. Now that the shoe is on the other foot, suddenly it's abhorrent? Uh uh. They made this bed, and now they have to lie in it,.

Also, there are claims on Twitter that ANTIFA was planning this stunt -- to dress as Trump supporters and storm the capitol.

You’re sentiment might have value, but what I’ve seen happening outside the Capitol right now isn’t achieving anything. I thought the point was to allow the House/Senate to challenge and debate the election outcome? How could they do so if they’re forced out by protestors?

A peaceful protest in support of the senators who’re opposing the election sends a much stronger message, in my opinion.
