Experts say Miami is now the coronavirus epicenter just as Wuhan once was

In the Hold my Beer category it seems that Miami is the new Wuhan for coronavirus in the states. And I'll bet that Orlando will be coming in at #2 soon as well. Especially now that Disney World is reopening. All those tourist coming to Florida for vacation might just be taking home some coronavirus home as a souvenir.

“Miami is now the epicenter for the virus,” said Lilian M. Abbo, M.D., an infectious diseases specialist at the University of Miami Health System. “What we were seeing in Wuhan [China] five months ago, we’re now seeing here.”

The experts were speaking minutes after Florida announced 12,624 new cases of COVID-19 — a day after Florida set a record for any state with 15,300 new cases.

Until people take this seriously we will not be beating this disease.

Right.

Not like the Deep State would lie about this to smear Florida and it's Republican governor who would not go along with the ScamDemic.

Isn't the Republican convention in Florida next month? Maybe they should move it to Alaska, and see if that state miraculously becomes the new "Epicenter", lol.

What do you mean? People are being FORCED to take it seriously.

The problem is, no one knows ONE damn person that’s died from it.

I really doubt that. Busch Gardens and Universal Studios have been open for over a month with no problems. I went to Universal a couple weeks ago and felt safer there than I do at work. They enforce masks and distancing and it's mostly outdoors. I'm sure Disney will be the same way.

Florida has 22 million people. 6,974 of the 22,000,000 are in the hospital for Covid-19.

.03% (3/100th of 1%) of Florida residents are in the hospital due to Covid-19.

Most of those 6,974 will recover fully.

I do, plenty here do.

You must not have many acquaintances. I'd suggest tests on your cognitive abilities too.

It's not surprising that measures are harsh when you've got #tards Believing the virus isn't even real.

I have many associates, hundreds all over the country. They all say the same thing. They don't know anyone who has contracted it. My wife, same situation.

You can call me whatever you want, stupid, dumb tard. Don't care. I know one person though who is not dumb. Elon Musk. He says the hospitals are inflating the numbers for Fed dollars. Many people are saying this as well. Even people on here who have experienced it. Did you see the tweet AOC deleted about how great breaking the economy is going to be.

The virus is real. The numbers and blasting videos of ambulances on the news is not. The economy roaring back is the last thing Democrats want.

Prove that they died from Covid, and not a serious pre existing health condition and or old age.

Wrong!

Wrong again. When have I ever said the virus wasn’t real?

I’ve stated going back to February, that it’s real — but way overblown.

Here’s some proof, from March 8th.

www.gov.uk...

Status of COVID-19
As of 19 March 2020, COVID-19 is no longer considered to be a high consequence infectious disease (HCID) in the UK.

The 4 nations public health HCID group made an interim recommendation in January 2020 to classify COVID-19 as an HCID. This was based on consideration of the UK HCID criteria about the virus and the disease with information available during the early stages of the outbreak. Now that more is known about COVID-19, the public health bodies in the UK have reviewed the most up to date information about COVID-19 against the UK HCID criteria. They have determined that several features have now changed; in particular, more information is available about mortality rates (low overall), and there is now greater clinical awareness and a specific and sensitive laboratory test, the availability of which continues to be available.

Then there's the guy who's been 100% succesfull in treating covid with aerosol steroids + zinc and other compounds.

They trust in UI like you to propogate the propaganda to make you live in fear. Boy your doing a bang up job

Fearmonger much LOL Miami Dade county has 2.2 million people

From the New York Times

CASES 64,443

PER 100,000 2,372

DEATHS 1,139

PER 100,000 42

for perspective, 42 deaths per 100,000 would put it at 6th as the cause of in the state of Florida behind

Heart Disease 223 per 100,000

Cancer 215 per 100,000

Stroke 63 per 100,000

Unintentional Injury 60 per 100,000

CLRD Chronic Lower Respiratory Disorder 58 per 100,000

and isn't it suspicious that CLRD fits right into the COVID narrative, even unintentionally there are likely cases called CLRD in 2018 that are magically COVID cases now.

Good ole Florida!

We’re (Ft. Lauderdale) not far behind them and I imagine at some point we’ll be neck and neck since we’re right on top of Miami.

When we went to Phase 1 of re-opening the bars down here just went full on “IDGAF”. Packing people in like sardines without masks. My buddy’s bar got permission to essentially turn the parking lot into a patio, I went to drop something off a few weeks ago and pulled up to 45-60 people all sitting on this makeshift patio without a single mask in sight. Not a single server or bartender was wearing a mask. Last week my buddy sends me a text “4 hours after I withdrew from unemployment, we find out we can’t sell booze anymore. We went to food only and lasted 3 days before we all got sick and not we’re closed until at least 4 of us can go in to work. And no I’m not coming over this weekend because I’ve been in bed dying for 2 days now.”

Count yourself lucky.

A good friend of mine knows someone who's husband died.

And another friend of a friend who's husband died as well.

And no people are not taking this seriously. I keep seeing videos of people throwing tantrums inside of stores when they are asked to wear a mask.

I hope that you are correct.

Though from some pictures I'm seeing in a Disney facebook group that I'm in. People are not keeping socially distant.
