I bet we are referring to the same mod. They will give me applause on one post and then turn around and crack my hand with a ruler on the next. Of course, I deserve every smack I get.

I've run afoul of the mods a time or two, but I maintain my innocence. They claimed my posts were "laced with profanity", but I say they contained colorful, descriptive prose.

I tried a similar defense once and allegedly it got someone like me banned.

I'm pretty sure mods can join in on the fun as long as it's not the forum they moderate and it stays within the T&C's.

At least that's how it usually works.

It is a background service that bogs the server which slows down serving pages. So by not checking everyone’s mailbox for new messages and then signaling the ones with new unread mail, we run a little faster.

I try to be good most of the time. The mods tolerate me- I think

i imagine being a mod generally a thankless job.

Next month will mark my 11th year here on ATS.I have
never been banned,have been threatened a time or two
for posts where I was completely innocent!! Have been
spanked by a mod now and then,slapped on the wrist by
Skeptic Overlord and had Springer close a couple of my
threads.
For the most part,I have been a very good girl!

I stopped reading the inbox messages from mods after i realized they are pretty much canned. There is no debate in being admonished and disagree or not you already know why they flushed your post. Its pretty much a joke.

DTOM hates me... I stay up at night crying about it.

I've had discussions with mods a couple of times when my posts have been deleted. Never had any bad blood over it.

Lol, I got that word snipped out of a post because I spelled that word out. With spaces in between for emphasis. I didn't think that was a bad word, based on the amount of actual "explicit" language gets through the filter.

It was that thread about how calling a woman a female is somehow derogatory.

Yet, I didn't get pissy. I just said oh well to myself.

Actually, I want to say thanks to that mod, because it actually made the post funnier in my opinion.

Y'all have no idea how lucky you are.
Back in the day when warnings were displayed under your username for everyone to see how bad you were...

ATS is a great place...
I never get WATS points... So my Karma doesn't escalate. Plus I'm a 'Pinocchio,' so it's apparent liars are welcomed here. My avatar seems a bit pushy or hangy. Yes.... Mods are cool (No BS Lie)

So you openly admit to disregard the T&C ? Perhaps your membership of this forum should be reconsidered. A blatant disregard of rules for a selfish purpose, too bad we can’t just block you and your ilk on our own.
