I am stunned. This afternoon, according to dozens of news sites, Gov. Whitmer extended the S-A-H order until June 12th. I am beyond frustrated, I cannot put into words how sickening this is to me and many of my fellow residents. True-to-form, after she issued this extension, which should at some point be found to be illegal based on the 1976 law requiring a governor to get approval from the Michigan legislature for additional extensions to an emergency declaration, she took her family to their vacation home for the holiday weekend.

Detroit Free Press

Gov. Gretchen Whitmer on Friday extended her stay-at-home order past its scheduled May 28 expiration to June 12, adding that public venues such as theaters, gyms and casinos would remain closed.

She said while coronavirus cases and deaths are clearly declining, "we are not out of the woods yet."

"If we’re going to lower the chance of a second wave and continue to protect our neighbors and loved ones from the spread of this virus, we must continue to do our part by staying safer at home," she said in a statement first reported by the Free Press.

She's getting roasted on Twits, rightly so. The negative are probably 20:1 against the positive comments.

I don't know how long these initial posts are supposed to be, but I didn't think anyone needed to have a dozen sites quoted saying the same thing.

The hypocrisy from her is absolutely stunning. And she's got the AG and SOS all riled up now too. It's going to be a long summer...

What a Putz. Took her family to their vacation home after the extension is saying "do as I say not as I do".

Let her be the example — for a justified revolution.

I feel for ya man. I'm in NYC and I'd be surprised if things opened by June 12th for us. But the Michigan situation is so clearly Dem corruption.

Michigan is a portrait of what this "pandemic" actually is. And it boils down to 2 words: SWING STATE.

These orders are coming from someone above Whitmer. Prove me wrong.

Simple solution: don't follow the order. Go where you wish, do what you wish, act like a free American. If you encounter resistance, deal with it on a case by case basis. It's time (passed time, really) for us to stop complaining and simply reclaim our rights.

I'm not stunned. This wicked woman only cares about her future, and impressing Biden's campaign staff for a shot at VP.

She could care less about the citizens who are struggling to make ends meet in her state.

What's really surprising, are the morons commenting at the link you provided, who criticize Trump and who will continue to wear their masks and gloves until June 12, like obedient sheep.

The traffic on US127 this afternoon was crawling, due to the number of vehicles heading up north and the construction in the center part of the state. But construction aside, the number of people giving her the finger right now is encouraging. I will be right there with them, doing everything I can to legally disobey, the Michigan Supreme Court has not gotten the case yet. The legislature filed an appeal today to skip the appellate court and go right to the SC as soon as possible. I just hope they take the case.

Ok, so I was stunned for a few moments earlier. Now I'm just angry. I will not break the law (orders are laws) but I will not obey her orders and neither are a LOT of our citizens. I wouldn't shed a tear, but I really hope none of our citizens follow through on their threats of physical harm to her. That would defeat the purpose of our protests. I want her legally found to be wrong about everything she is doing right now. I want a judge to look her in the eye and tell her just how much she has done that's illegal and punitive, and tear her a new ass. Then I want her arrested for violating our state and federal constitutions and thrown in prison.

Is that so much to ask?

She isn't up for re-election until 2022. Two and a half more years of this will destroy our state.

All the while she is up in Traverse City throwing her daughter's Grad party.

Apparently her daughters posted it all over
Tik-Tok. At least according to everything I'm reading and hearing.

She is getting ripped apart on FB also.
Maybe everyone should crash the Grad Party.

We aren't trying to wait until 2022 to get her ass out of the chair. She got elected in 2018. I remember because I was working at a Mexican cantina at the time. I cursed, loudly, when she won. The illegals were PISSED at me! Almost got into a fight with one when he got all confrontational after I erupted in applause at the Senate being Red. Told him to ride the Blue Wave back to Honduras if he didn't like it!

Point of story; there are illegal hotspots in Southeast Michigan, specifically in the Ann Arbor area (I'm in Ypsilanti, 4 miles down the road from that cesspool.
Between them, the university progressives, and Islamic Dearborne... no one on this site from Michigan votes blue.

Do we vote twice? Your yelling at the wrong people. These strongholds are the blue in an otherwise Red State.
