He should be charged with murder for everyone in hospital care that dies because they weren't able to treat them with the only drug/drug combo we currently know works on the virus.

The OP is false though.

If a patient is in the hospital, the doctor can indeed prescribe it.

Exactly, doctors dont just prescribe medicine because they heard it may work, people are really clinging to any possibility now even if it detrimental to their health.

Yes, if in the hospital, where they can be closely monitored, it's ok to try. They understandably would rather not see people poisoning themselves, and of course people will take it when it's not applicable..if left on their own.

Come on, what would be the purpose of destroying jobs and people's lives?

We are all Americans going through this together and as far as I know this virus does not check your political affiliation before attacking you.
Be safe and stay healthy.

Yeah, I mean I get that it was an attempt to bring Mud Pit style pointless political nonsense into the Pandemic forum but the reality is:

If a doctor prescribes it, you can get it. Done

OK, Done!

As I read it, the restriction via outpatient prescription is 30 days supply, so ya, not much of a ban.

This makes no sense either.
Who thinks people would behave this way for real?
Maybe serial killers and psychotics.
Pretty sure that governor is neither.

Let's reign it in.

We all know damn well you would do the same thing if you were governor. TDS has exposed you baby killers for what you are. Sick in the head. Your kind would destroy America to keep Trump from being a success.
America didn’t want Hillary. Get over it already.

Maybe because hydroxychloroquine can be very dangerous if used with out medical guidance and dumb people are willing to listen to stupid misinformation and think they should try it.

So, just like every other prescription drug.

I think it should be common practice to not taking anything without consulting a physician first and getting a check-up.

Even most over the counter drugs can be dangerous in some situations but people take them for granted. How many deaths a year are attributed to too much ibuprofen or basic cough syrup?

The fact is there are a lot of people that lack any common sense

Hydroxycloriquine? Are you sure about that?

Maybe you haven't done your homework.

Maybe you haven't done yours?? been keeping up on current events?!

Also

Chloroquine is very dangerous in overdose. It is rapidly absorbed from the gut. In 1961, published studies showed three children who took overdoses died within 2.5 hours of taking the drug. While the amount of the overdose was not cited, the therapeutic index for chloroquine is known to be small. Symptoms of overdose include headache, drowsiness, visual disturbances, nausea and vomiting, cardiovascular collapse, seizures, and sudden respiratory and cardiac arrest.

The fact that someone died from this means nothing right?

The democrats want everyone to become their slaves while living poor, weak and depended on the government handouts, that’s why they want to give everyone free stuff!

Do the medical doctors approve of this?

On the news the other day when trump mentioned hydroxy chlorine or what ever, some Democrat came on after and said he demands trump stop recommening that drug.

You realize that Breitbrart story is misinformation, right? They even include a link to the original story debunking their partisan hate fest.

CARSON CITY — Gov. Steve Sisolak has signed an emergency measure to safeguard the threatened supply of two drugs being hoarded for possible use in the treatment of COVID-19. The governor signed the emergency regulation Tuesday on the recommendation of the state Board of Pharmacy.

Link

What he signed was to safeguard the supply of these drugs because they’re useful and so people wouldn’t hoard them. Not because herp derp Democrats want to kill you.

Please explain how you can hoard something you can only get by prescription, and only in the amounts perscribed?

I'll wait

Can taking hydroxychloroquine harm you? If not, why would someone in authority prohibit it?

Oops. I should have read your post before posing my question. But I assume if it’s prescribed by a physician and you take the recommended dosage you won’t be harmed, right? After all, it is an actual medication used to treat malaria victims.

This medication can only be obtained with a prescription - it's not something people can go to the store and hoard. His hoarding excuse was bs.

That's what they said about opioids too.

This is a very toxic drug, that can cause blindness, liver failure and death, and has not as yet been approved to treatment of COVID 19. The clinical trials only started yesterday.

I'm sure that Nevada isn't forbidding patients who are part of the official clinical trials to be prescribed the drug. It's just not allowing doctors to administer an experimental drug willie nillie.

Get out of here with your facts and logic - this is ATS!
