Many of us here have said -- in one way or another -- that the current quarantine measures -- business shutdowns and forced unemployment -- is a takedown of the entire economy, and it will be rebuilt with government picking the winners and losers. The businesses that come back -- that can come back -- will be those the critters choose to give our tax dollars to. According to their agenda. In their vision.

And I doubt any of us thought anyone would admit it, but here it is:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) worked to scupper the phase-three coronavirus relief package on Sunday after Majority Whip James Clyburn (D., S.C.) told caucus members last week that the bill was “a tremendous opportunity to restructure things to fit our vision.”

I don't trust Dems and I don't trust Pubs and I don't trust Trump to rebuild our economy, and it should never come to that to begin with.

When considering any action, it is necessary and proper to consider how much damage can be done by that action, not just how much good can be accomplished. This is the very purpose of impact assessments.

Forget how much good forced quarantines and shutdowns can do. Think about how much damage they can do. And think about all the corrupt critters just drooling at the chance. This is just a start:

Republicans have said that Democrats have reportedly demanded increased bargaining powers for unions, as well as environmental regulations for airlines and more wind and solar tax credits.

Pelosi flew into Washington, D.C. over the weekend to add demands to negotiations, a move that Senate Republicans have cited as the reason why the procedural vote to fast-track the legislation fell by a party-line vote on Sunday night.

There is no place for such demands in an emergency relief bill for the people hurting because of THEIR actions. None. But this is a sample of the ways those critters will manipulate and tweak the New Reconstruction after destroying the old.

Ask yourself: How much damage can they do??? And then be afraid. Be very very afraid.

so far some gems ,if a corporation wants bail out funds they have to pay 15 an hour minimum ,30% reduction in emissions by air lines and no ceo may make 50x more then its lowest paid employee still reading throuhg the bill but is baffling as all hell so far assets.documentcloud.org... if any one wants to read it......

More proof the democrats give zero flux about average joe voter and always have. Not only have they lost 2020, they have pretty much just signed their own death warrant. Come 2024, the democrat party won't exist as it currently stands, it will morph into (at least) 2 parties as a consequential effect resultant from Bernie getting shafted again and the clowns rolling out Biden as the only alternative - plus having the stench of Hillarys domineering piss-stain all over them will always be a turn off to normal people.

I will breathe a huge sigh of relief if/when the 2020 election takes place. My gut is telling me that the Dems would very much like to stop the election they know they cannot win (or rig).

It's very telling that he would actually voice this. I cannot be unheard. And those who hear it will know it for exactly what it is. But he really thinks this is acceptable. Noble even!

That's the most stunning part of this to me, is that they don't see this is exactly why they are bleeding supporters! During Obama's second term is when my Dem/liberal friends started realizing that they say all the right things to all the right identity groups and promise them the world to get elected, and then help their friends when they're in office.

People aren't stupid. This was a bill meant to directly help the people hurting from THEIR policies, and it's just a political football now. This is personal. Especially to Dems and liberals. I don't know how any of them thinks this will end well.

I'm glad to see the outrage growing. I really hope this just fuels more folks to keep their critters' feet to the fire. Dems and Pubs, liberals and conservatives, libertarians and greenies as well!!!

This is the counter proposal. Do you or anyone have a link to the current bill put out that they just did a prelim vote on? I'm curious to see what the Dems blocked that was so bad they had to add BS to it instead of addressing the more immediate needs.

They could have introduced an additional bill with their wish list to vote on separately and independently of the immediate relief needed.

Instead, manipulating the dire situation we are in shows the country just how little they care about the People.

I really do feel that China, specifically, has been gaining global power and presence beyond the obvious things like manufacturing. First time red flags started flying for me was with Clinton/Loral.

One possibility Ive been mulling is that somewhere along the line it was learned that the Dems were going to exploit the next outbreak (outbreaks are consistent enough). Putting up someone like Biden has been suspect to me from the start. Frankly, a lot of their actions in the past few years made me think they werent worried about winning anything legitimately.

In doing so, it puts Trump in a position where he must respond to public expectation in some capacity. Then it turned into some bizarre game of chicken, I guess.

I still wouldnt be surprised to see Trump recognize the opportunity to make history by using these shutdown measures to later actually give that power back. Intentional plan or not, that would be absolutely unprecedented (never known governments to give it back, though Im not omniscient either!) and easily earn him a pretty damn big part in history books. I wouldnt bet money on it or anything, but thats the type of thing I believe has motivated Trump all along.

I dont know, all of this is real, real strange to me. Everything has a "but," attached to the "facts" and we are having many of the exact same conversations, in exactly the same way as always.. But with more urgency, and some interesting bedfellows

Yes. That would have been appropriate. Not saying that I'd approve of the bill itself, but it should be written and passed on its own merits. Not on the backs of the people who need relief because the government is denying them the ability to make a living. People are already unemployed. This bill is already too late.

Yes, it does. In fact, I would say it shows a complete disrespect for the people, and the wilful exploitation and extortion of the people. One could even say they have unlawfully detained the American people and are now holding them for ransom. That looks like downright contempt to me.

True Story -

Just over this weekend I talked with several people who have
light bulb moments about the Democrats and their agenda.

They are using this virus as a means to oppress and shape
the U.S. into more of a socialist state. When people can not
go to work and are facing losing their own homes, healthcare
and deprived of work to pay their own way, they will revolt
even if only quietly turning away from the Democrats.

They will be fortunate if that is the way this ends.

Yes, I think that was a red flag for many of us. It's one of the real issues that was covered up by the Lewinski affair/impeachment.

I agree -- they don't worry about having to win anything legitimately. At least, they didn't. I'm not so sure now. I don't think they have the numbers they need to nudge a vote (illegitimately) in their direction anymore. They seemed to rely on a small percentage of illegal votes to tip close elections in a relatively few places. But they've been bleeding supporters, and Trump has been gaining supporters, and both work against them. So maybe they're worried now? Or they know it's a lost cause, so all pretense is off, and it's by any means necessary?

I think that's a good way of putting it! As soon as Dems used fearmongering and doom porn to panic the people, Trump had a problem and had to do something. I like some of it, I don't like some of it. But Dems made it obvious they had no intention of working with Trump, they would manipulate and exploit the fear and security of the people, they would destroy the economy, bankrupt the people, and they didn't give a damn about anyone's interests but their own.

i think ED in this context is educational department? wont that take money away from schools to forgive loans at that rate for all americans?


edit to add the things the dems had problems with on the R senate bill was mostly blown out of proportion, the media was reporting a 500 billion "slush fund" to be used how ever tresury and president wanted ,that was not the case of that 500 billion 300 billion was for SMALL buisnesses to offset losses due to quarantine and pay employees (but only if they didnt fire said employees) and 50billion for airlines(plus 8 more for cargo air freight) and 150 billion for other industries like hotels cruise ships and casinos of all things (i only had a problem with casinos but i guess they employ alot of people)

I really wish that were true.... However, Dems have two things going for them which allow them to perpetrate this fraud on the Constitution and the American Public:

1. Full court Press - Media cover-up. The mainstream media, including social media, often spin and lie and blatantly hide the truth behind what the Democrats are doing.

2. Voters often, sadly, have short memories. By the time November roles around, they've often forgot about the nonsense of the past and focus only on the current $H*# sandwiches and lies being served up at the media buffet.
