What Will Replace Sports?

With major sports leagues shutting down their seasons early, what will people replace them with until they reopen?

Sports are truly like bread and circuses to keep us all entertained.

Will video games take a huge uptick? Youtube? Netflix?

Will all the slobbering hoards (kidding, kidding) spend that extra time with family and friends? Or will they find themselves consumed by other things, politics, online couch potato activism, real activism?

Would it be the beginning of an actual revolution?

Will this be another baby boom?

What do you guys think?

Hopefully reading a f-ing book or two.

Revolution, I doubt it. People haven't revolted for a looong time in the West and I don't think they're going to now. People are too afraid of losing what little they have for some reason. Also, they very much value their ''democratic'' ''freedom''.

I think this will simply lead to more 'Zombi'ism', aka. more phone staring, Netflix etc. True connecting with others is a past long forgotten, sadly.

There's another thread with Augie regularly appearing to

If that's accurate and he stops by, I'm positive he'll have
more creative insights than five of I could ever muster.

For a small fee, say, five bucks a month, every citizen who wants one should be given a state of the art virtual reality game set to entertain them at home. In a way this has been a trend anyway since home gaming began. This will just expedite this social transformation.
