SWA was a hard rock/metal side project from Black Flag bassist Chuck Dukowski. Released in '86 "Sex Dr." had some great tunes. This one was always a
favorite-
Chuck grew up in my hometown and went to the same high school I did, though he was 7 years older than me.

Awesome!
Back in the mid 80's I started a postpunk power trio side project with my best friend and a drummer that my (future) wife had met at the photo lab
where she worked. His previous band had just imploded and he was looking for a gig. They were called L.S.N. (Loud Senseless Noise) and Voivod was a
huge influence. Dude was the fastest most powerful drummer I'd ever met. Long story short that guy is our first born child's godfather.
Here's a clip from a reunion show they did a while back-
By 1981, the Undertones were trying to expand their sound and broaden their appeal which kind of backfired with their hardcore fans. Their 3rd
full-length album Positive Touch didn't do too well, and I admit it took me a while to warm up to it. It did have a few great tunes, not so much punk
but pretty solid.
