The UK are already saying if you think you have coronavirus then don't go to the hospital or your local GP.
Instead call 111 where they are telling people to self isolate at home. So they are already promoting that as they simply don't have the beds/staff here in the UK to cope.
I suspect that if people are sick enough to think they need to go to the hospital, they aren't going to call ahead for reservations.

I work in the testing and certification field nowadays for a variety of antimicrobial products (things like micro ban, or Dow Silvadur) using test methods that show efficacy at reducing microbial populations. This includes general work like NSF sanitation certs on food equipment etc for in place cleanings.
Anyways, my company has about 50,000 employees. We had a engineer come back from a multi day conference in a few locations. He had passed through 3 different major airport hubs.
He was hacking up a lung. Fever etc, had to come in to finish some work (dick.) He went to the clinic - asked for a corona virus test, they refused due to no connection with someone from mainland china..
Its that way now in Japan. They'll only test you if you have a doctors referral an or admitted by ambulance with known symptoms of corona virus. I really feel sorry now for the ambulance and fire and police. The reason I say police is because when an ambulance is called out, many times the police have to follow up on the report. And yes, people still call the fire dept, sometimes its a lot faster when you live out in the country.

I’m afraid of what is killing people in Wuhan. Which as we theorized in thread 1 may not be the same virus. Tennisdawg has “confirmed” this. One can chose to believe this or not.
Based on what I see and read I am choosing to believe it. I have been thinking of this angle for a long while.
The classified briefing to Senators definitely raises my eyebrows. There’s more to that than just military involvement. DHS knows something that we don’t beyond the current US preparedness stance.

A couple of months worth of stuff is good, but you need more. Sorry to say, and not criticizing. You do what you can do.Â
I am not going to lie here. I am patiently waiting and monitoring the situation. If/when the time comes, I have the ability to gain more supplies. I just don't want to burn up my reserves if not needed at the moment. I am picking up supplies slowly.
The key is to know when to act, that is the hard part.
If China believes the infection was an act of war from an enemy action, what are they doing concerning a response?

Just a thought...
To avoid this, ( if you are extremely ill) it might be an idea to say you'd spent some time sitting next to an Asian on the bus or Tube or something?
Not sure if this is a good idea or not 🤔
