This is a really useful UPDATE thread. I guess everyone has their own opinions and theories, but I think this thread would remain more on topic if it stuck to factual updates and information.

I am sure there are numerous posts about bio wepons, 5G transmitters etc etc.

SARS comes from bats and so do many other coronaviruses. 2019-ncov is very likely from bats too.
Here is a list of some of the coronaviruses know to infect bat populations for each region in China.



You can see in the coronavirus family tree how 2019-ncov has evolved and where it is related to SARS.

In this larger tree you can see all of the mutations of SARS with 2019-ncov at the bottom. It doesn't mean that 2019-ncov is SARS, but more of a sibling.

The bat addition to the bioweapon was to ensure those infected wouldn't show symptoms for a long time allowing them to spread to millions. Bats carry many virusses with no symptoms. reply to: SpartanStoic

Does this mean they are massaging the figures to sound better, or their testing isn't as reliable or speedy as they claim?

There’s supposedly a Thai girls death in India, Kolkata rumored on Twitter. I did not list it earlier and asked an Indian coworker to verify it. Waiting to hear back.

He thought it odd as Thai people generally aren’t well liked in India and he wondered why she was here. Not much tourism in Kolkata and Indians wouldn’t have a Thai worker in general

Canadians on Twitter started an online petition to stop flights from China.

Still no confirmation US will stop flights on Feb 1 but a few more people on Twitter saying same and it’s not reposts.
