Just admit that you're a Nazi, rescind your evil ways, denounce greed so you can be a good little socialist and maybe, just maybe. . . . . they won't call you a Nazi any more.

lolz.

They don't even realize that you dislike Trump, do they.

But you don't "think" like them, therefor, you are the evil enemy because somehow, even though they think little boys can be transvestite strippers and abortions should take place up to birth. . . . you have no morals.

We provide a bunch of mostly criminals, most asylum seekers do not qualify and are just criminals, free food, shelter and medical care in facilities that are above reproach. There is never any mention of 1500 children missing from the camps because there are no such children missing from the camps.

You should probably actually know what you're talking about before you make a comment.

On 26 April 2018, the New York Times and the Associated Press both reported that the U.S. government had lost track of nearly 1,500 migrant children it had placed into the homes of caregivers. The alarming nature of the headlines prompted many readers to question the veracity of the reports, but they are apparently true.

And for the future, the onus is on you to educate yourself about what is really going on. You shouldn't count on anonymous people on the internet to do research for you. I think that's a big part of the problem with online discourse.

I'd be happy if you all just admitted that the Trump administration locking migrants in cages to enrich their friends and donors is a bad thing.

I'm not going to hold my breath.

SoOo... are you saying that the homes of caregivers should now be called "camps" as well?

Since according to what you posted, there are no actual mention of children missing from "camps", but are missing after being placed in caregiver homes...

Chastising someone for being ignorant of a topic and then posting a link that proves yourself wrong may be the issue here...

Please post some links that show that detaining children at the border so that we can at least determine if they are the actual children of the adults they are traveling with is somehow enriching Republican donors.

Thanks in advance...

Whether they are missing from the camps themselves or from caregivers that the government placed them with, they are still missing. Drag the goalposts wherever you want, it doesn't change that thousands of children are missing and the people who claim to support this because of human trafficking never mention it.

You all seem to unquestionably believe the government when it suits you.

They're locking up people who have violated the law, but you know the best part?

If they want to go back, they will be released.

I've been working on a thread about it for a while, so be patient. It's blatant, and its unquestionable evidence. I'll welcome your participation in it.

Yup! You nailed it....... In all their tolerance I have to fit into their little box of what's acceptable or I'm a racist nazi.....

That's why so many of us in the center, both left leaning and right leaning, are being forced into the Trump camp, or at the least into voting conservative......

They swung way too hard left, and left their own people behind...... Along w any credibility, or common sense

Just LOL.

I used the goalposts you provided.

Are you saying that caregiver's homes are the same as a detainment facility on the border... yes or no?

As far as the subject of human trafficking goes, why would you care?

In your world, the little girl that was bought in Mexico as a means for the adults to cross into America should not be separated from the adult(s) in the party... they should just be patted on the back and sent north so the kid can be sold at the nearest city.

/facepalm

your claim: 1,500 children who have mysteriously gone missing from these camps,
reality: government had lost track of nearly 1,500 migrant children it had placed into the homes of caregivers.

So do you not understand the difference between "these camps" and "homes of caregivers"? Are you hoping that other people are too stupid to know that "camps" are not "homes of caregivers"?

In the future you shouldn't make false claims and then prove yourself wrong with your own links, thanks for making it so easy for me, I love when people do that.

That isn't true at all. They can't just leave if they want. It's at a judge's discretion, and with the huge backlog created by the Trump administration narrowing the amount of immigration judges its damn near impossible to be released without spending months in a holding cage with 100 other people.

Seeking asylum isn't illegal. And even if they did illegally enter the country (which is a misdemeanor) a misdemeanor isn't a serious enough crime to warrant being treated worse than the rapists and murderers who fill the rest of Americas prisons.

I'm saying that 1500 children are missing from the governments care. Full stop.

I don't care whether they are missing from the camps, caregivers, or they lost them on a trip to chuck-e-cheese.

The end result is the same.

Well, if anyone limits their friends to 'only those whose votes they agree with', I couldn't be their friend anyway, personally, because they are consciously limiting themselves, trying to control me, and why would I want to waste my OWN time with that kind of person regardless?

You only have so much time. Spend it on those that matter, and identify those who aren't worth it, to concentrate it where it counts IMHO

Then the solution is simple.

Seek asylum at a US embassy in their own home country and they won't have to suffer one bit.

They bring this on themselves when they violate sovereign borders and violate national laws.

And if they don't give a damn about our laws now, what in the purple f### makes you think they'll obey our laws once they get inside our borders!

Hey, there is an MD at my hospital named Dr. Tom Tartar.. He is going up against Mr. Durbin for senate. He is a long shot, but wow … I really really like Dr. Tartar after working with him for a number of years now. I am sorry he is retiring from medicine, but if there ever was a person here in Illinois worthy of beating Mr. Durbin, it would be Tom Tartar IMHO

I don't think he will get much press, but since you are also from Illinois, you may try to look him up

Yeah, the majority of the field looks bad here in Illinois … very cringeworthy, but there might be very (small) glimmers of potential hope too? ?

Again, it is completely lawful to show up at a port of entry and request asylum. No sovereign borders or international laws are being violated by doing that. It's up to immigration judges to decide if they have a valid claim.

The same immigration judges who this administration have purposefully downsized in an effort to keep the cages full so the Presidents donors can pull down $750 a day for every migrant held. Equaling billions of dollars of profit. This issue goes way beyond the mundane narrative people would have you believe.

And it isn't as simple as seeking asylum in your own country and waiting it out. That in itself, is counterintuitive. Because asylum is something you seek when you are in immediate danger in your home country.
