I don't see what's so wrong with chlorinated chicken. Better than getting salmonella. Trust me on that, you do not want salmonella. Great way to
lose weight very quickly, though.
I'm no vegan, veggie or believer in any of the scaremongering #e that's been in the news or from mental eco-warrior types. Minor exposure to trace
amounts of chlorine if still present after packaging is completed isn't going to cause the body any real harm - people are currently exposed to far
higher levels of chlorine is swimming pools to meet health and safety laws.
My main issue is it's only required in the US because of their much more industrialised, intensive, unsustainable farming practice which naturally is
a recipe for disease. Despite the US having to use Chlorine to due to their lower food/farming standards Salmonella rates are still higher in the US
than the due higher standards of farming practice in the UK.
However UK farmers are the major traditional Tory voters, the farmers I know are mainly focused on getting out of the EU to avoid the red tape, food
wastage and food caps. They (mostly) care about their animals and have little/no interest in lowering current animal welfare standards/food practice.
I can imagine UK farmers coming together to put major pressure on the government not to keep things as close to 'as is' minus EU constraints as
possible. The Government will be forced to listen to them if they want to remain in power.
Agreed on the Salmonella front. Not had it myself but did get a bad case of Campylobacter once (local food standards came around a day or two after Dr
results to do a full inevstigation of the potential source of contamination)- wasn't allowed to eat for 11 days, lost so much weight and muscle my
ribcage became very weak and pliable as it ran out of energy resources.
Dry wretching is bad enough after a few days, but dry #ting is another level of pain.

Have to admit I may have jumped the gun on Boris - his forté is the classics of political tactics - was very suprised but pleased to hear that he's
shown a backbone and is demanding mutually beneficial access US partership deal. He's being cordial with Trump and trying to repair the #ups of May,
Khan etc..but is starting to get a cohesive and well though out set of demands together to ensure it's as fair a deal as can be negotiated.
Obviously there's a difference between a Press Release and the end result but it's certainly a major change tone for the better.
