Active shooter at Walmart in El Paso, TX

I'm seeing stuff on Twitter about this. 18 people were shot. Not sure if it's still active.

El Paso residents ordered to shelter in place. I hope that doesn't mean the guy is still on the loose. Hopefully that just means they're trying to keep people off the streets to make it easier for first responders.

I've seen different reports. Some were from a mall, some from a Wal Mart. There may be multiple shooters, or the same shooter attacked adjacent locations.

Gee thanks for the info guys. For a second I thought it might be a mass shooting with 0 shooters.

The police issued a statement for people to refrain from posting about ongoing events on social media.

It's certainly possible the same shooter could have attacked both locations, they are right next to each other. I know facts like this won't matter to the "There's always 2 shooters" crowd though. Even when it's acknowledged there were 2 shooters, they will just say there were 3.

I was going to say where I live there is a off duty police officer at the doors. Seems like they would stop someone carrying a rifle into the store. Now a all is a different animal altogether.

For Christ's sake, I would never post footage of people getting shot. The footage shows police directing people to leave the active scene at the Walmart store. Stop being a drama queen.

Unless he was the first victim. That is one of the problems with the mentality that armed security will solve everything. They are just the first people shot, or the shooter will enter another way. The shooter at that garlic festival knew they had security, so he just went in another way. That's why having armed bystanders is the most effective way to stop these things fast.
