I'm honestly surprised we haven't had a major extinction event in the last 30 years. I figured it would happen quicker than it has been (is it even going to happen?). With the way we trashed our oceans and spread nuclear waste everywhere and burnt down our forests I have no clue how we're still alive.

Have you by chance read "Inferno" by Dan Brown?
If you haven't please check it out and read it over the next few weeks, you'll love it.

I won't spoil the storyline for you but it directly addresses overpopulation and even gives a really great solution to solving the crisis without having to hurt anyone. It's an awesome book. I haven't seen the movie yet but I'm sure they ruined it (like most films do).

Fewer people working in the economy *without robots* would be slower economic growth, less entrepreneurship, rising inequality and more debt --- but with robots? Heck I'd think we'll have incredible economic growth, greater entrepreneurship, more equality and probably little to no debt at all.

Everything will get so cheap that it'll be next to free and production rates will be so high that anyone can have whatever they want/need.

The only problem will be the Sith Lords and the Trade Federation with their pesky droid armies at that point. Or was it dilithium crystal shortages? Or was it Spice shortages? Whichever... you get the point.

I saw that, The youth in Japan are not that intrested in sex or relationships. Instead they have virtual girlfriends, I watched a program on t.v about Japan, They filmed in bars where men and women never spoke to each other, Some of those Japanese girls are gorgeous.
They will have a future with no children in it.
Future generations will thank them.
You Americans really #ed something up dropping nuclear weapons on Japan,
Some Men there can only get aroused watching female robots.

I would take away my star if I could. I liked the first few sentences but should have read the rest before giving a star, sorry.

When it comes to the Japanese human extinction, it is real and it is a problem.

But America has zero to do with it. It is a combination of many things. Mostly the availability of porn and porn being so ubiquitous in Japan. To the point where young people have seen everything so much it no longer creates an emotional or sexual response. This is a real phenomenon, overexposure leads to impotence.

Also, the work ethic in Japan, people are expected to work all day and party all night with co-workers and go home drunk and pass out. Then get up early the next day and start all over. For young people at work there is zero time to form relationships.

Then there are the gender expectations. Once women have children they are expected to spend every minute with them. Mothers even attend school with their children. Fathers are basically absent and flop in after the family is asleep out of work expectations.

These cultural expectations drive people away from relationships that create children. It has zero to do with "Americans".

By the way did you know a Univ in Colorado said that it is degrading to Central and South America citizens, and Mexican and Canadian citizens to use the term American meaning only US citizens. They are also residents of the continent of America and are Americans.

I noticed that there is a lot of talk about porn contributing to the population decline. I think it goes deeper than that. We are all supposed to be strong and proud. What happens when people are strong and proud? How about arguments and disagreements. We have MeToo# and TimesUp and then MGTOW. We have our politics and other social issues where people just name call. Toxic Masculinity...

Instead of fixing the problem and getting the genders to learn to understand and be compassion to each other we have only gotten worse. Why? Because that sells and makes people feel superior to others. Everybody else is just a blank blank blank.

I happen to be an atheist. I am also a loner. I have never had a real relationship. But I don't understand why people with better upbrings than mine can not make relationships work. I knew someone who was a big Catholic. He had three children with his wife. He then gets divorced because he was being used. How can you say you are the one being used when your wife carried three children. It just seems to me that we have all been brought up with too much me-ism and pride. Why? Because it sells.
