Absolutely true, most of us - I do fall short.

But there is another reason we need Jesus, our one correct role model (though let's be fair how many have gone and sold there house and walked in poverty to be like him ministering to the poor) and both our elder brother, one rightful and real king and the ultimate father figure (he whom see's me see's the father) especially if we had no father to speak of in this world.

I am not a fan of American TV evangelists given some of the recent story's but in the case of the real one's like Billy Graham, well he was the real deal.

And it's a big but
Christians must first accept Jesus for who He is, then repent and then turn away from sin

If a person chooses to be a Christian then turning from sin is an expression of loving God
You can't play by your own rules in someone else's game

If you don't like it, don't believe, don't agree, go be an atheist, follow Odin or Thor, Hinduism, you are not obliged to follow Christ

I'm not making up my own rules. The Law of Christ means to Love Others As Yourself, it has nothing at all to do with judging homosexuality.

"For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." - Galatians 5:14

This agrees with what Christ himself said in Matthew 7:12.

Homosexuality is 100% OK, because a follower of Christ only follows Christ's Law (Love Others As Yourself). To judge by religious rules instead of having discernment by The Spirit (LOVE) is to live like The Pharisees.

I feel it’s more of a “ love rhe sinner, hate the sin” situation. We all fall short of the glory of God on some level, and practicing forgiveness towards our neighbors as well as ourselves seems one of the highest forms of love. As far as judging , we need to remind ourselves that is Gods domaine, ultimately.

You are attempting to "rationalize" sin by man's selfish desires.

It is clear that in order to be Christ’s we need to do exactly this. “If you love Me, keep My commandments.” John 14:15.

I could buy that justification if it were consistent and not cherry picked.

If Trump committed adultery with male porn stars instead of female ones, do you think the evangelicals would still back him?

Why are things like adultery so acceptable but not consensual monogamous sex between two women? Why do the evangelicals turn a blind eye to "the least of our brothers" (separated families at the border, etc) yet prioritize gaining the right to discriminate against lgbt folk?

I know consistent Christians but they aren't the norm nor do they play politics with their faith.
