I don't begrudge anyone... as long as they shut up and play pretend. I just don't care about all the back-patting for doing something that most of us gave up in the third grade. Whether or not a movie is a good show depends on the writers as much if not more than on the actors.

The writing and the directing are more important, imo, than the actors. But, the spotlight is always on the actor, so they get the notoriety which results in the celebrity fixation. The face that is in front of the cameras gets the attention, but they are nothing without good writing, directing....and makeup.
