Bottom lining it.

Trump brought his in-laws over via the IR-5 visa (family visa) to help look after Barron.

The same Visa he has been deriding and calling for the elimination of.

Cuz...It's HIM, not other people.

White House refuses to reveal immigration status of Melania's parents

The questions about Melania Trump’s parents’ immigration status, explained

The most recent flare-up involves Melania’s parents, Viktor and Amalija Knavs, who appear to currently live in the United States, where they are very engaged with the care and rearing of their grandson Barron Trump.

This would not ordinarily be a particularly noteworthy situation. (...) But the Trump administration has specifically made an effort to bar US citizens from sponsoring visas for their parents a centerpiece of its immigration policy efforts.

On an immigration policy call with reporters held Wednesday morning, a White House official answered a question about the Knavses by saying that while they were “not going to get into specific cases,” it was a “fallacy” to think that “just because a policy was in place in the past means it should continue indefinitely into the future.”

DIFFERENT RULES for the Orange King vs. lowly citizens.

I should care why?

I mean its still legal to do so, so really who cares..why is it an issue.

If the visa is done away with he will have to get them status a different way so they can stay, yea hes rich it will be a lot easier for him than you or I, that's the nature of the modern world.

She's probably an illegal.

I'm kidding of course, but if they want to keep that confidential, why not? Its her parents, I could care less where her uncle lives, I just care about Trump and his immediate family, nothing more beyond that.

No, they would be grandfathered in.

Simple...he has always done this in his business. He wants the change but has used the laws passed by former administrations as well. He will simply adapt to the changes he makes. Just because you don't agree with a law doesn't mean you won't take advantage of the law.

If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at the one who made the law.

They are discussing Melania's parents, not Melania, though her Visa story still has unanswered questions.

Trump quietly brought over Melania's parents on the Family Visa he is demanding be eliminated.

They sure hated it when they accused Obama of doing it. Funny that.

That there is some bizarre logic.

I suppose Jeff Sessions pulls bongs when he visits Colorado as well? Just the way the Trump Administration rolls?
Whatever you can get away with?

The right wings fevered defense of hypocrisy itself as if it were a virtue has stripped the right of all credibility for generations to come.

Trump is destroying the Right Wing and you guys are too happy enjoying the lefts discomfort to recognize it.

Name me a president that did not have that ability, or exercise that ability that is not named Washington.

Go ahead Ill wait.

They're 'Legal immigrants'.

Case closed. They can have whatever status they have as long as the Operative word remains 'Legal'.

I'm rather glad they are looking after the youngest and hopefully shielding him from this farce.

I have never known a President that did not have a scandal while in office.
But never seen one like Trump that has one once every week.

I have never seen an Administration that wasn't caught in a lie.
But never seen one that was caught lying every other day without shame.

Your ridiculous standard of purity before anyone can acknowledge hypocrisy reminds me of the this:

And Trump is working hard to make it "illegal" for everyone else to bring family over under the same Visa.

AKA THE PEOPLE?

Love that you are right on board with the attitude that Trump is above having to answer questions about what he does.

Some folks in this country really do crave a big-daddy dictator.
