I've seen that video before. I can't decide if it's particularly windy
and those are mylar baloons, or if they are ball lightning.

Yes, balloons and lightning are real.

In particular, around military and aircraft installations, the BOL
are particularly common, due to microwave and radar towers.

Now a video showing something about experimental aircraft
would be interesting, to contrast the massive, cannot be
confused difference.

Controlled programmable plasma?

eh calling it Mylar balloons is a stretch.

I can agree that were witnessing plasma but its not ball lightning.

ball lightning is not common around microwave towers it's very rare and under specific conditions. with radar it's mostly seen as induced st. elmos fire around the nose of aircraft as it's radar is ionizing a medium typically denser than air like clouds or fog or already charged air like during a lightning storm. that's not ball lightning in that video. if that were ball lightning in that video it would be scrutinized and studied by experts in ball lightning as it would be a very unusual and extremely rare video of ball lightning of that magnitude and behavior. also you'll notice that footage of ball lightning is nearly always in a lightning storm or under foggy conditions.

I"m just saying it's probably a natural thing, nothing special.
I know the difference between various types of BOL,
but it's become a generic phrase.

Well BassPlayer could probably entertain you with various tales
of artificially generated plasma.

I'm not actually that interested in that topic.. but it is an
important topic for UFOlogy, as UFOlogy is the study
of deception you know.

That's all UFOlogy is, at least in the United States.

for an speculative exercise tying into your theory though, my question would be, if folks are making plasma for various reasons. wouldn't that plasma be the equivalent of agar in a petri to these proposed boltzmann brains? feeding the sentient plasma trolls with highly nutritious ion buffet may not be the smartest thing to do. these plasma blooms could even create boltzmann brains artificially theoretically exasperating the "phenomena".

I think the best approach to much of the UAP is to look at the topic outside of and dropping the notion of alien ufos. I don't believe in alien or extradimensional visitors and don't approach the topic trying to explain it as some ufo. I'm firmly in the 95 percent misidentified human technology 5 percent altered human perception that's caused by presently (but to be explained later with science) "paranormal" correlation.

I brought up this very point in 2013!

There is certainly misidentified, semi-exotic human technology.

You attribute that number high.. I attribute it much lower, but
certainly not zero. Maybe even 10% on a good day with a tail
wind.

I don't think it's worthwhile for us to argue about the percentage
like we once did. Neither of us actually know the exact number.

we don't argue, we debate!

anyways youre right its a moot point. there's still something strange going on that human ingenuity has yet to solve or manufacture regardless of the percentage and that alone is profound and a worthy puzzle to solve.

I wonder often how they will respond when we start to perform metric engineering of time space or the EM vacua of virtual particles and waveform et al. suppose it could go both ways. possible we can potentially augment them making their substrate more permissive or exterminate them locally on accident by altering the very environment they can exist in.

I couldn't say.

You are assuming that we will get to that point in tech.

It might be "welcome to the cosmos little ones",

or it might be a horror movie.

Has anyone ever talked about a secret meeting between an alien and President Eisenhower on the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Forrestall in 1956? Off Jekyll Island in the Atlantic. Just wondering. I would doubt there would be any footage, if it existed, ever released of this event.

There have been so many ideas floating around ATS and the further ufo community over the years as to what tech propels UAP/UFO/Secret aircraft.

Electrogravitics
Advanced propulsion systems
Anti-Gravity
Lighter than air materials
Programmable sustainable controllable plasma
Remote viewed controlled material

Elizondo is pushing the time/warp bubble theory at the moment;

"We do believe all these observables we've been seeing, sudden and extreme acceleration, hyper-sonic velocities, low observability, trans medium travel, and last but not least, positive lift, anti-gravity – is really the manifestation of a single technology. So it's not five exotic technologies we're trying to figure out, it's one. and we think we know that one too.” "We believe it has to do with a high amount of energy and the ability to warp space-time, not by a lot, but by a little,"

certainly interesting....
I believe the next material to be released will be a video similar to the first two and then an audio log of a similar incident with no video attached.

Personally, if anyone in the project speaks other than JV,
I'd consider what is communicated to be disinformation,
either wittingly, or unwittingly. But that is just my
opinion.

I'm sure that Mr. Puthoff does have a "tech theory" about
what's going on.

What you do, is that you look at all the effects, and then
work backwards to one or more current or proposed
technologies until you selection bias your way to a
technological hypothesis.

There's probably no way to test the hypothesis.. so you
rest on your PH.D laurels and sorta just assume you
are right.

The basic (and probably wrong) premise here, is that
there is technology involved.

This whole (wrong) focus on technology.. including
having large warehouses standing by, for the fleets
of UFOs they will be catching with their hypothetical
butterfly-ufo-catching nets..

I never know if I should laugh or cry. I guess I mostly
shake my head.

Since this crew is pushing fake UFO pictures and
narratives for all that they are worth.. it would
be difficult to take their "science" seriously.

On the other hand, the one real and science-worthy
thing that we know they are working on.. does not
necessarily have *anything* to do with technology.

Do the math.

If there is a sincere hypothesis at work, it's almost
certainly based upon the so-called "hutchison effect".

There are numerous non-technological/non-machine/non-alien/non-black project
possible explanations for strange effects.

For example, one of the best "UFO" books ever written:
Andrew Pike
which is not available anymore. it was available for maybe a month or two?

And the Albert Budden
books are priceless.. and out of print.

It's not being written up in a UFO format yet.. but this:

Plasma Tubes
Might be causing those high energy effects.

Of course the so-called Hutchison effect as earlier mentioned.

IMHO, the "mystery" is how the human mind links up with high energy sources in the form
of EM/plasma.. and you'll notice that this group is working on just that issue...

Someday, when all this is solved.. all the nuts and bolts folks will be so embarassed
that they will have red cheeks for the rest of their lives.. and that our government
pushed the delusion for so long, will embarass them until the end of time.

IMHO.

Why do you hold Dr. Vallée in such high esteem, and above any form of disinformation, whilst having a deep mistrust of everyone else involved (we don't even know if Vallée is involved with DeLonge's boys do we) ?

He was definitely talking about the the trace elements left behind by UAPs around 1947 in this interview : click here to listen to relevant section..

Yet you summarily seem to dismiss this above in your post.

It's a fun story, all right. But I'm not aware of any even semi-official source that would indicate that it is credible in any way.
