As a previous poster stated, the problem is not with "shorting it out", it has to do with the element lithium. All metals from the first vertical group in the periodic table react with water. Some of them not so violently, some of them very violently. Moisture is also in the air...or your saliva. Just sayin...

No, in this case it is short circuit between sheet electrodes folded in battery. You can test it with screwdriver ... well, better do not. Instead you can find some of thousands of videos on subject.

I'll defer to your electrical knowledge (something I know nothing about) but my point still stands. Sodium, lithium, potassium and rubidium and water do not mix. At the end of the day, I would claim for damages due to reckless stupidity. Negligence be damned.

The Chinese battery-biter guy will go far in life, judging by most of the managers that I have met.
I can see definite management potential there. Managing Director as a minimum.

I think a law should be passed, Internationally... to remove all 'Warnings', 'Cautions', etc. from any and all things.. and simply let Natural Selection do its thing...

And i defy someone to test the premise of that argument!

We all took Chemistry in high school, and apparently, the same rules apply in China, although i don't know about Apple stores.

Some people in western civilisations camp outside Apple stores a few days before the newest product is available for sale. These people help me realise I am not completely crazy yet.

My brother and I rolled in that as kids when our Dad was building an enclosed porch on our 2 family house.

We only had shorts on.

It was fun and soft.

Spun glass is not friendly.

Pieces break off and travel through the brain/body barrier.

It's given me great insights.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

We suffered greatly for several years.

Dad just laffed.

If you got a couple hrs to kill in china, you can get into an apple store.

There is no legal recourse to sue for damages here.

Or I'd be rich.
