Postcards From the Edge and Good Will Hunting.

I don't think I need to post a trailer.
Most people will have been tortured with them repeatedly.

Tortured by good will hunting? I've never met anyone who's disliked it. Considering they wrote it together and acted the main parts, when they were unknown young actors is astounding. And Robin Williams and Matt Damon made this film a must watch imo. I give this film a solid 9/10

Maybe it also depends on your age and environment.

Not everyone will have the same affiliations or associations with movies.

Enemy mine.

It was a formative movie for me. I cant believe it is hated.

I was surprised. I always thought it was awesome with a unique plot that made the complete sci fi story.

To me, the latter wasn't so much about Damon and Affleck.

I think it was more Robin Williams.

We had to study Dead Poet Society.

Like forcing porridge down your throat in kindergarten.

What a borefest that was!

Or Iceman.
Not dreadful in hindsight, but way, way overrated at the time!

No! It was exquisite. Such a complete sci fi story with many unexpected turns. Funny, and wholely entertaining.

Denis Quaid did a great job. He is one of my favorite actors.

I very much disagree!

Logan's run.

Well some might include The Mission.

Yeah it has some terrible moments and plot gaps (the priests and Indians sneak up to the sleeping soldiers and sneak away again - unlikely for warriors).

But the ending is so moving and bombastic - I can't include it here.

I have to disagree with you on this one movie. It fascinates me, somehow.

The character actors made up for any failures in that film "My Cousin Vinny", so I would have to disagree with you there.

Dead Poet's Society was way off the mark in making it the success it could have been.

I didn't hate it, but I watched it once and that was it.

That reviewer was obnoxious. I don't remember that movie being advertised as some historical documentary.

I seriously can't get into Malkovich-not sexy-really ugly. He probably has acting chops but it gets lost in his asexual persona and just plain ugly appearance. Sorry for the negativity-really can't watch this guy.

Waterworld is a great movie. I love this kind of 90s fantasy style and atmosphere.

I myself am a fan of Fist of the North Star, because I saw it when I was like 12 and thought it was amazing. It has a similar dystopian atmosphere. Everyone else considers it to be awful.
