In business the aim is to maximize revenue and minimize expenses.

In government that means maximizing taxes, minimizing services provided...Military Defense, Border Security, Law Enforcement, Disaster Response.

Government is a financial holding entity for pooling resources for common good. Zero Profit is the aim. Diversion from that becomes 3rd world dictatorships.

Agreed. In fact, the fastest way to a third world economy is to have profit drive government... because then it delivers the profit only to the elite. We're already seeing the effects of our oligarchy and corporate welfare in rising taxes on workers and service cuts to a lot of needed services (fixing our roads would be nice, for instance, as well as investing in green energy.)

True, but there's no denying government would benefit from a more "business-like" approach regarding efficiency and accountability. The amount of waste, fraud, red tape, etc. is what most people are pissed about. That was always my take on it.
