What a coincidence, I was looking over my thread history, and 2012 is the exact year LoL forum popped up(I had actually made a thread about being concerned about that forum).

Conspiratorially speaking, ATS is right on time with the transformation of some of the conspiracy community to alt-right fanaticism. These sites were always likely under sinister control just waiting for the signal to transform from alt conspiracy to alt right: Alex Jones, Jeff Rense, Red ice creations, and many more all transformed to extreme alt right fanaticism at the advent of the Trump candidacy, as if signaled by some occult force. Disturbingly, all falling in line so exactly at the same time.


This is unlikely a coincidence but part of the massage Trump psychological operation on the world

I now usually just skip over the Politics mostly the Wining of a Red State Vs Blue State
type of crap, and look through the Top Topics and the New Topics

I miss what you miss and for the same reasons ..

mostly now what I like goes unnoticed ...
and Nothing seems to be Original anymore ..

as the Majority is from other websites

from the 50s and 60s of what it was ..
but the Photos claiming to be the Ancient Alien Black Knight Satellite
was defiantly a Secure holding Pin Cover

Wasn't that about the same time ATS posts premiered in some conspiracy related book too? There was a book that had a bunch of ATS posts in it. Can't remember the title of the book offhand, but...

Also sick of the politics, back to the real reasons we love ATS.

Although I don't post much, I'm here daily reading the forums and as you can see by my join date, it's been long time. I first found this place searching for stories and discussions of the mysterious, ie. bigfoot, aliens, etc. Whether everything has been debunked, lack of new info, or lack of interest, this place has become overly political to compensate, IMO. Although I lean towards the skeptic side of things, I miss reading about things that challenged my skepticism and sparked my imagination. Inter-dimensional yeti, zero point energy wielding spacecraft, time jumping navy ships, dimension portal antennas, and montauk monsters have been outnumbered by the political steel cage match threads and social issues. Maybe we need an "Independence Day" event to bring us all together and cut the BS. Better yet, some profound discovery, disclosure, or scientific breakthrough. One can dream.
