Yes, a lovely day then a nap.

15% beers are killer. They deserve meals to accompany them.

This guy is 18% woowee

kelp stout?

Lol. I've never heard of such a thing. If I can find this locally I'll definitely be giving that a try.

I think the most out there stout I've ever had was a smoked bacon stout at a local microbrewery. That was good to try but nothing I could drink with any regularity.

I could never taste the kelp, but I was definitely apprehensive. I would try a bacon stout.

I'm not a fan of weird flavoured beer, but the best I had was a dunkel that tasted like those Terry's Chocolate oranges. It was a strange small-batch winter beer but the nostalgia alone made me buy a whole case.

Ozeki Saki, baby! Does that count?

I love sake. Since it is a beer thread, have you ever had a sake bomb?

Of course it counts. I've never tried saki, but always wanted to. Figured I'd stumble into a restaurant sometime with an opportunity to do just that, but no such luck in Texas so far.

Chocolate oranges too? Yep, will be looking into that one as well.

I like flavored stouts as a treat but Guinness is my regular. I really like Young's Double Chocolate Stout and Banana Bread Beer.

What do you call coffee that you perpetually wish was a beer? That's what I have.

I just had to google that. It sounds awesome! I don't have any beer here, though. Normally, I only stock the fridge with beer if certain folk are coming over. But I do like some of the stouts (surprisingly).

It's surprisingly tasty. But I wouldn't do a sake bomb with a stout, I think.

And here I am drinking tea. The humanity.

I'm a tea fiend so don't feel bad. I only busted out the sake because I had to cancel going to a party with my boyfriend tonight but, since I already arranged a sitter, I'm alone with big ole' bottle of sake and Netflix.

GO ME!

Not this bottle. Even though it's dry, it's not the best heated. There's a different brand I get for heating and it taste like heavenly syrup going down. My other favorite is a totally unfiltered sake. After you shake the heck out of it, it pours out like milk. Soooooo good.

Nectar of the gods.

More specifically, it's the nectar of this goddess, Inari Ōkami:

She's a Kami goddess of rice and sake (among a couple of other things).

I had one night, already drunk, at a bar, put a shot of Jägermeister in a pint of Guinness. I liked it, thought it was original and later found out that was thing already, Jäger-Bomb.

I recommend it at least once if you dig Jäger at all.
