All this thread proves is that the less refined members of the forum have succeeded in dragging others down to their level in terms of petty threads and cheap posts. Let's try to be more informative and less provocative with our evolution threads, hmm?

Why do "evolution" threads keep getting posted in the "Origins & Creationism" forum? These are supposed to be completely unrelated topics.

Oh wait, I know...

The problem is that they don't even understand that they are being made fools of.

Said the man who ended his sentence in a preposition

Is that the best you can do? Pick at the way someone writes a sentence?

You failed at it lol.

From Oxford Dictionaries

Can you end a sentence with a preposition?

There are numerous myths relating to grammatical dos and don’ts, many of which were drummed into us at school. The one that stubbornly refuses to budge from my mind is the diktat ‘never start a sentence with a conjunction such as and or but’. Another one is that one cannot end a sentence with a preposition. Let’s try to zap the one – sometimes referred to as stranded prepositions – and lay it to rest once and for all.

Becsuse modern evolutionary synthesis falls under the umbrella of 'origins'.

Yep.

I bet he thought he was being clever though lol.

I also find it ironic that what he quoted, turned out to be true.

Certainly made a fool of himself by replying to that.

So origins is part of evolutionary theory, or the other way around? Unless this was meant to be a joke that went over my head (no pun intended) I'm not sure I know what is meant by "umbrella of origins"

Perhaps Noinden should offer his thoughts on this.

This is the sort of bloody nonsense up with which I will not put.

^Haha, that reminds me of that scene in the Beavis and Butthead movie, where they argue about the proper way to reference wacking in a tool shed.

Origin of SPECIES, not life itself. I think we all know the purpose of this thread.

And completely OT, but Tzar, I love the new avatar.

Origins and modern evolutionary synthesis address a lot of the same questions.

Settle. Down. it was purposed to joke with. Is this a website you can't have any fun on? But really thanks for that great research you must have spent a lot of time with. But you sent literally the first link when googling "can you end a sentence with a preposition", indicating you did not know prior to your google search whether or not is was acceptable grammar to participate in.

Was that the tool shed they were wacking off in? A double preposition at the end of a sentence

They say a thousand years is a day in Gods eyes. Or roughly like that. That explains evolution.

One of the main concepts in evolutionary theory is that it is random mutation. If Spirit created matter it would not have relied on the random working of matter for its own creation. of.

That is one way, but that would be 6000 years to create the earth. It does not explain anything sadly.

If you're just the arbitrary descendant of some long distant ape you really, really shouldn't take life so seriously.
