The staff of ATS greatly enjoys all of our members creative writing endeavors. To that end we have created this thread strictly for all of your poetic musings. Any and all forms of poetry are welcome, all we ask is that you keep your writing T&C friendly.

ATS is one of the only places I've written poetry. Certain members have inspired me over my time her a few in particular, but this last one was inspired by metaphysical posts and I didn't really want to reply so straight forward this time.. It's sort of about well nevermind that.. I guess I'll name it though.. hmm..

So the most recent poem I wrote:

Hole to Infinity

It's good to take it easy
after you've broken through..
Looking around
who made it with you?
I'm here and there,
and everywhere
too.
Scattered and scrambled
bi-polar tri-polar
multifaceted schizophrenia
embodied
Am I talking to myself?
I joke,
and I grin.
Here he goes again..
What a tangled web,
in the eb,
and flow
No!
Where is the flow?
truth was never the point
not for the characters
stuck in this joint
ugh
you gotta be kiddin' me
can't let it get to me.
just a pawn
like a honey bee
Shoot
it doesn't take a genius to see
parts of a whole
White rabbits that lead
trapped in a hole
thought you were moving
reach for the goal
ouch
you grabbed your own tail
in this tale
of...

The Short Stories forum is getting back to the basics of short stories. All poetry submitted within the last 30 days or so will be moved to Chit Chat.

I hope this decision could be looked at again.

I have only posted as few poems. I am a professional poet. If it will be considered 'chit chat', I probably will not post again.

What's not good flags? People have always flagged poems, it was a question i had that is all that is it.

ETA: never mind i get you, i don't know that i'd want to post my poems in chit chat either.. it's like generic there's too many other things mixed in there with the poems. hmm..

What about a Forum titled POETRY so no one becomes confused?

No, not flags, though that is part of it. As some poems are just as good as short stories. A lot of poeple post a LOT of short stories shorter than the average poem. It is throwing them all in one thread that I have a problem with.

A lot of people post short stories that are less than a paragraph.

I don;t write Haiku.

Look at the short stories thread, a LOT are tiny poems or very tiny stories or even things I would not call a 'story'.
